Actually, there is so much drama and ties with various people and other bands that there could easily be a good Ministry video game with a pretty decent plot. Al could be the main guy and instead of going around shooting people he would go around shooting up while looking for new band members to recruit and use to gain fame points. Occasionally there could be bosses to battle like Barkersaurus or Connemonster.
Well, on 2nd thought, it’s pretty stupid. But it would be entertaining for a few minutes.
Haha, and after you beat the game you get With Sympathy Alain as an unlockable character.

Haha! Again, sticking to my WC3 logic. Al could be pre-bush trilogy Al = Pre-Lich King Arthas. Marries angie and goes evil and insane. Everyone tries to free him from his curse. Mix of Final Fantasy X and WC3.

Heh, I know what you mean, I have a 360 so I’m waiting for Alan Wake… but it’s been so long coming and looks more like silent hill with a different city than the Twin Peaks esque thriller it’s being promoted as.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I’ll play it, the CE with the novel has me suckered already… but I cant justify paying $90+ for a game… maybe I should scavange ebay for some trade bait lol.
I am not holding the highest of hopes for it… but then again it is made by the old Max Payne crew, and I freakin love that game.

dude…ok after playing this for a bit now this is what i will say…
if you played the old computer version… look out the predators are some seriously hard fuckers to kill even on super easy mode.
The aliens will fuck you up too but you can kill them.
if your the alien, you can haul ass and fuck shit up quick.
if your the predator you just rule. everything dies. no mercy.
the neat thing about this game is that all the level are all link to each of the characters (aliens, marines, predators) but in a different context. you will see things from different stand points which is really neat. also you will see abunch of fun stuff from the comic books like the android hitsquad. they are in this. also the predalien is here too. the action is over the top in some spots.
you spend so much time running and turning around shooting and running again. its really fun.
i didnt find the controls to hard to learn, it is certainly not halo-ish. i can see the people that made this game wanted the gamer to do alot. bet the xbox 360 has a few moves left out. meaning every button on the controller has a purpose and there are even a few combinations of buttons to hit for certain moves. clearly made for pc.

here is the thing, normally i am right there with you. but this game i have been following its developement for 3 years and just couldnt wait a second longer than the release date to buy it. i am having a lot of fun playing the game and feel the 60 buck price tag is just fine. i cant say that about some of the 19.99 games but this one works out just fine. if they have an avp2 i will by that at 60 bucks as well.
but ya i am all for waiting.

I kinda get that, well the impatient version of me does. Then I open my wallet and go “oh that’ll have to wait a few years” lol.
I dont think I’ve ever bought a brand brand new game… hmm… maybe Ultima IX… but I think even that was reduced by the time I bought it (which wasnt that long after release), and I’ve been playing computer games for 20 years.
Maybe I got some new Master System games when my parents were the ones paying, lol.
ok i just finished the game as the "marines’
the only gripe i have with this is
- no grenade launcher, no bazookas
- the ending is alittle too mechanical, meaning you are forced to do things in such a way its ridiculous.
- it sucks that the smartgun and flamethrower are in only a handful of levels.
- going to the next level the game will take away weapons you have saved and give you what it wants you to have.
- Only 1 predator to fight in entire game!!! i mean what the shit! in the old game you had tons of predators. i feel this should of been the last challenge of the game as it was the most time consuming to defeat.
- the last character that you have to fight is the weyland android aka bishop. basically you have to shoot him in the head and he falls into lava, the end.
well not really they leave this game open for an even bigger super aliens vs. predator sequel or sequels.
well sega has already announced aliens: colonel marines. so it looks like that is all on the way.
besides that very fun game,
the aliens actually get alot tougher to fight towards the end of the game. There is a pred-alien that is seriously tough as shit to fight. the queen alien isnt really shit and you get to fight a number of these throughout the game. The most challenging one being in the alien hive. There are combat androids that are a bit of a pain in the ass but once you get the hang of it you can blow them up all day long.
i would say the toughest character to play the game with is the alien. it runs way to fast and goes upside down so fast and then back on the ground and then on the side of a wall so much you forget what the hell you were up to.
