Pretty good interview with Leeb, he seemed like a regular guy in that. Interesting comments about touring not really being worth it any more and also postive props to Videodrome.
I love all of the DHR stuff, but live , fuck it’s boring! It’s worse than a mid-90’s rap show, you know, like 4 people with mikes and a girl with a tape deck or adat’s. Even the guitars are taped! Alec had a good thing awhile ago with c.clouser and merzbow and the drummer from locust i actually wanted to see that live! but, seriously, atr live : strobe lights 4 mikes tape deck yelling…boooring! I was looking forward to a reformed rejuvenated ministry!

What’s interesting though is “Stupidity” comes up in iTunes with Name: “Stupidity (featuring Al Jourgensen) - Al Jourgensen” and Artist: “Al Jourgensen”.

The Al song is probably the weakest on the album - it sounds like a Bush Trilogy remix. Would’ve been much more interesting to put Al on an all-electronic, standard FLA style song.

I dunno man… there’s a ton of electronics on this track. More so than most of the tracks in the last few ministry discs. The last few ministry albums just seemed to have vocal samples and other subtleties. I think if Al dropped like 7 more tracks like this on a ministry album, that would be pretty bad ass.

I just heard this track for the first time, and I have to admit that I was utterly shocked at how good it was. An Al/FLA side project would be welcome by me.
The FLA-Jourgensen track is furious but, honestly, it’s ruined by Al’s stupid shouty vox. Some other songs from that album sound decent, especially the first song.

i actually bought tickets to see FLA in 3 weeks time, two days after I’m seeing Skinny Puppy (both gigs in London). I didn’t even realise FLA were touring. you don’t reckon they’d make an appearance at each others’ gig do you? that would be fucking great.
