Al on the new Front Line cd

more screaming…Yeah! I like the beat though.

[:)]

Now THIS is classy.

I like it!

Honestly. Al still has it, it’s just more like a breathe of fresh air that he’s actually working with other industrial bands besides the one’s that he was a part of. Now if only The Last Sucker would of sounded like this…

Kinda sounds like the most techno-metal-fusion tracks on Skinny Puppy ‘The Process’ but not arty and creative enough. A little too straight forward, rendering the point moot.

Still refreshing to see Al do something that really is pretty decent and not as bad as some of the really nu-metalish shit etc. The Al scream/bellow with reverb and delay ad nauseum is SERIOUSLY played the fuck out by this point.

Hearing it on nu-Ministry is almost starting to make me dislike that vocal style on classic Ministry.

One thing I’ve noticed is that Ministry is a band where no one talks about the vocals really for the most part. IMO the vocal treatments were a big part of the Ministry sound but he overdid certain effects later on his career and doesn’t vary it enough at all now.

I like how Al varied it up and sang in different ways with different effects throughout the good years of Ministry.

Whereas I think that’s one of the bigger downfalls of nu-Ministry.

Its really from Rio Grande Blood and on that the vocals took a nose dive.

Disagree. The vocals (not necessarily the LYRICS) are one of the higher points of RGB.

What Icepick said.

Hmm, if we’re talking about vocals, the very first Ministry song I heard was NWO, and I thought the singing was hilariously stupid. I dig it now though…don’t really dig Al’s vocals post-Houses though…

“Possible co-headlining bill announced soon… with a re-uniting band… any guesses?”

Anyone else think this might be Ministry? [shocked]

I saw that, he’s definitely referring to Ministry. On paper, great billing…um, once upon a time. We can only hope Al has come to his senses with a set list. Of course, Leeb was quoted as saying the song that Al guests on, “Stupidity”, was “inspired by the Ministry album, The Last Sucker”, ugh. I didn’t think that sort of inspiration was possible. Still, I’ve heard the preview clips of the new FLA, and it sounds like a marginal improvement over their last couple of releases. The old-schooler in me is still excited about this potential double-bill.

1002

Of course, I suppose by “re-uniting” he means Al and Mike, not Al and Paul.

This is the most exciting news I’ve heard from the Ministry camp in a long time. That is assuming it turns out to be a reunited and rejuvinated Ministry.

Al embracing his old roots would simply be amazing.

The thought of possibly seeing Iceolate and Stigmata live on the same night is euphoric.

Judging by the C U LaTOUR, Stigmata will probably never be played again.

where is the play buttom? [:(]

i feel like such a newb.

I can’t wait to hear No W and all of the other classics!

Let’s hope that’s not the case…

Guessing you did the VIP for the last tour? Super excited by the “two and a half hour set of rich, provocative history”, then finding out its the new stuff with a couple classics. The main classics being from 2004, of course. Yeah, bitching is pointless for that $100 ticket, huh?

I gave my ticket away…for free. Lesson learned, never again.
