I would be lying if I did not admit that I thought this was a stunt at times. Angie is way too public about what I consider a private matter.

He was very, very scared of going to rehab this time but said that this is the first time it was his choice to go instead of being told to go.
I thought he said he was ordered to go…
He knows that he can get sober but is unsure how he will stay sober since he can get alcohol on every corner.
All he has to do is keep in mind the hell he feels while detoxing. That way when he feels like drinking he can rationalize to himself, “If I start drinking again now the pure hell of detox was all for nothing.”
Angie wanted to keep this private but Al posted about it on his Facebook and she had to go into damage control.
Wonder where the inspiration for Gold digger came from. (I know I know it’s “ghouldigger” but we’re not stupid) Everybody singing angies praises for getting him sober and bla bla bla… but we all saw her luring him on the bus with drink and we all heard upon entering rehab his BAC was .39 or some other such foolish number.
He knows that his FB page is filled with ass kissers. He understands that the majority of the people on there don’t have his best interest in mind. He is totally aware that f he were on a ledge, they would cheer for him to jump. He doesn’t care. They like the spectacle and he gives it to them.
He should spend some time here at prongs. He will not get ass kissers here. Most people respect his music/art from when it was good but have no problem bitching about his (mostly) current output. A little dose of reality for his “uncleness”

these are two things i have thought about Al for quite some time.
i have prattled on here on the board before with my theories about some of his decision making… and these two thought have always been at the root of what i was thinking.
i hope he gets clean this time, and i hope he is able to keep people who actually care about HIM around him once he gets out. i dont care if he ever records another note of music, i just want the guy who created ‘The Fall’ to finally feel a little bit better.

I remember Al told me via e-mail that HBO was interested in doing a reality show on him and Angie. I knew it was bullshit, I think he did too but who knows. This was before the whole redneck outlaw thing wasn’t in full swing like it became years later, like with the Duck Dynasty and WC Choppers guys.
I doubt any network would make a dime on it.
