Acid Bath

sorry. had my gacey recollection.in chicago.
still creeps me out.

in my life and times, i know to stay away from the crazies. you feel something weird is happenin’…RUN. we’re human.
works every time. you will be safe.

a lot of who post here are maybe in the music business, which becomes attached to a lot of crap.
my instinct is to ALWAYS ALWAYS go with the gut.
saved my stupid ass.

He just had a strong obsession with having sex with their dead bodies. Truly fucked stuff.

You’d figure these types of people would go get jobs at morgues. That way if they’re caught the worst they’re gonna get is a “defiling a corpse charge” which I’m not sure what the penalty is but I’m sure it’s less than that of rape and murder.

no statute of limitations for murder.one crime which floats.

Well, I don’t know why all the hate for Acid Bath is going on. It seems to me that all of you are listening to the more “mainstream” songs they have. I would NEVER have recommended those songs to people to get you to hear what they sound like. Scream Of The Butterfly and Bleed Me An Ocean are actually just kinda lame compared to the rest of their stuff. If you really want to check out what their style sounds like I would suggest…

From When The Kite String Pops :
“Dr. Seuess Is Dead”
“Toubabo Koomi”
“Cheap Vodka”
“Cassie Eats Cockroaches”
“The Bones Of Baby Dolls”
“God Machine”
“Fingerpaintings Of The Insane” (my favorite on this album)

From Paegan Terrorist Tactics (not as good an album) :
“Graveflower”
“New Death Sensation”
“Venus Blue”
“13 Fingers” (my favorite off this album)
“Dead Girl”

Everything else is just filler or fluff in my eyes. It’s ok and good in between the awesome tracks but those are the ones that really get you going.

[reply]when gacey got arrested, it made my skin crawl. i used to see that guy at the gay bar just south of belmont and broadway, on broadway, in the little alley going to the club.that’s it.

Wow.

I watched a tv special on Dahmer from youtube a while back. [/reply]

He was a fan of industrial music, too. Skinny Puppy, Clock DVA. I seem to recall he had Buried Dreams on the stereo when they caught him.

I was just about to post this.

He was a big fan of Florida death metal too - I read something on a metal forum where this guy wrote about meeting Dahmer briefly at an Obituary gig in '92.

He was heavily into Morbid Angel apparently and told the guy how much he loved ‘Blessed Are The Sick’.

I nevver heard of, or heard acid bath before, but I will defend that lyrics when read do never really tend to work as well as when you got the song with them. think of any number of your favorite songs and then look at the words on a page, and very rarely does it convey the song. Esp. in industrial music. Read any kmfdm song or even using ministry’s big hit NWO, look at the lyrics on a page. not so interesting.

Jeez Loueeze ed. All that shit was going down while I was just busy being born.

I feel I must bow to your ‘eder statesman’ status.

You are the ‘Obi Wan’ of the prongs community.

Has anyone seen the “Acid Bath: Double Live Bootleg”? I want to buy it after all this AB nostalgia, but want to make sure it’s good quality, performance, backstage and all that.

BTW, anyone a fan of Deadboy and the Elephantmen? The We Are Night Sky album is pretty good. I still spin that disc every once in a while.

The bootleg is 'ish. Good stuff in there but I wouldn’t call it quality. It’s worth watching a few times I suppose. As far as Elephantboy and the Dead Men, it’s pretty decent stuff. I like almost all of Dax’s other projects but I think if I was to go with one or the other I would have to choose Agents Of Oblivion over EATDM.
