word listening to previews now. obviously I have heard “…Poland” good song.
For just starting with Foetus I’d recommend the FLOW album from 2001. Though it’s more recent it’s really solid and has a good range of his styles. The Foetus album that got me into him was NAIL which is great from start to finish. THAW is also awesome and probably his most aggressive sounding one.
Mr. Lucky kicks ass.
Chris trashes Gila Copter and the title track in the book (perhaps tellingly, both are songs he wasn’t involved with) and hates the horns Al added to Sexy, but I don’t remember him mentioning Mr. Lucky.
“Mr. Lucky” is my theme song. Shee-yaaaah.
As for Foetus, my faves are Sink and Nail, though Thaw’s probably more up your alley.
I love NAIL!!
nail is probably the classic foetus album. flow is awesome, but much newer. i’d say one or both of those :).

Hmm for some reason thought he trashed “Mr. Lucky”. I’ll be giving the album many more listens so maybe that song will grow on me over time. Keep in mind this is after one listen.
“Gila Copter” is brilliant. Leary pretending to be be Burroughs. Priceless. And awesome rhythm section and SFX throughout.
