I don’t know anything about them I just saw they were opening this tour…
and yes Primus live is something I would suggest anyone see…I don’t even care if you don’t like them on record…it doesn’t matter…a completely different beast live…
Eh, Primus live is a dicey proposition. I’ve seen them upwards of ten times, and I gotta say, at least four of those times, the band seemed tired and uninspired - especially Les, who gets kinda whiny if conditions aren’t right (i.e. the monitors don’t work, someone gives him the finger, etc.). The other six times, they were fucking amazing. Just don’t be surprised if you spend their set wondering who replaced the thrashfunk pioneers from the early 90s with Phish.
I’ll be seeing Primus on New Years Eve play Pork Soda in its entirety.

It looks to be a double set, so I guess it’s Pork Soda plus another hour or so of other songs. I thought it would’ve been funny if Tool opened the show, but I’m cool with 2-3 hours of Primus. I hope Herb is doing drum duties this time. Then I can say I saw all 3 drummers, as well as their 2 classic albums performed start to finish!
Sorry I am late posting this, but I got to see 3teeth last week in Kansas City.
This was the third time I had seen them, but the first time in a venue so quaint. I can’t say it enough, if you have not checked these guys out, you need to do so ASAP.
3teeth are the most interesting band I have seen come out of the genre in the last 10 years. I do enjoy their recordings, but the recordings are nothing compared to the live show.
If you have a chance, check them out.
Saw these guys last night in Columbus, I’m not usually into super heavy stuff, but it was a very fun and energetic show.
The DJs played quite a bit of Ministry & Co before the show. They played Thieves, We Shall Cleanse The World, Union Carbide & Rubber Glove Seduction.
Quite a few other Ministry fans there. One guy talked with me about the early unreleased tracks and I also saw someone wearing a With Sympathy shirt.
I hadn’t been to a show in quite a while, definitely a fun night.
Glad you liked it. The 3teeth story is pretty remarkable when you think about it. A true DIY story. When I spoke to them at Cold Waves in 2014 Roadrunner had offered them a record deal along with a major. They have avoided both and are moving forward completely on their own. Whether you love them or hate them, this is good news for a genre that gets very little press.
