Wax Trax! is talking about releasing it, like they did with the Low & Slow EP.

one of the dudes here on the board paid a mint for it from some dude out of Israel (?) I don’t remember who bought it but they were kind enough to send me a rip of it. It’d be a nice piece to have but my collecting days seem to be waning when it comes to high priced stuff like this.

I don’t know what you’re talking about
I have no idea if it’s a bootleg, a test press copy or even if it’s the actual recording (it probably is though). But, save your money folks. The Wax Trax! official release should be coming out at some point.

cool
So what is this one anyway? Is Jourgensen on it or it’s some Paul Barker side stuff?
I really liked “Chicks and Speed/ Futurism” from Lead Into Gold, but that Low and Slow stuff didn’t really do anything for me.

Its apparently all of them twiddling feedback knobs n stuff.
1984 too? The height of their synth nerdism. Should be interesting.
I’d shell out the cash for this if i had it.

Pass.
It looks like the Wax Trax! team has been paying attention to this release. psyclotron over at discogs, recieved some additional info from Wax Trax!:
"Sure, hopefully we can shed some light on the mysterious WAX 019.
This was a project during the very early days of Ministry/ Blackouts working together (mostly at Southern Studios in London)
The project was sort of a collaborative piece in the way that each member (Paul, Bill, Roland, Al) started with the same sample and each artist would create a full album side per member built around that sample.
The songs were very experimental for the time and became an exercise exploring what became dark ambient and/or sound textures.
The release was slotted for WAX 019 but didn’t quite fit with what the label was doing at the time and was put on perpetual hold with the intentions of releasing at some point over the years.
So…Do any official test-pressings, promos, etc. exist?
The short answer is No. (or not yet). A proper release never moved passed the planning stage. Nothing official exists.
The long answer…
We’re assuming your email was promoted by the reposting of the Double U Ey Eks Zero One Nine that has popped up recently
There are a limited amount of bootlegs out there on vinyl but these are not from the label or the band and were pressed illegally years after they were recorded.
Regarding an official release:
We have used Roland’s piece throughout the Wax Trax! documentary as part of the score.
We have talked to the band about releasing it properly, so that will most likely happen in the near future."

Really interesting. The material on this was certainly more in line with what Roland had released in 1979-81, so it’s interesting that they chose his piece.
wow. great direct information. who is this “psyclotron” dude (or dudette) who posted this?

A member of discogs.com. He hit me up for more information about the album, and also sent out an inquiry to Wax Trax!. He got a response and passed the info along.
