20 years ago today...

…we were in a freezing cinema in Evanston Illinois, rehearsing for the "mind is a terrible thing to taste " tour…

where are they now???

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…

hope Al’s at least at the dentist…

methinks you’re getting ready for a new book.
beat me to the punch in the face.
DAMN YOU CONNELLY.

It made for the deadliest live album ever so if there was another book on the tour I wouldn’t hesitate.

By the way I’m currently freezing my ass off cos my radiator stopped working. And my friend just rang me to tell me he had to swim to get into his house cos the whole place is flooded. The weather can be testy.

deadly’s good.

“Unacceptable!”

Best part of the whole book.

snort.

20 years ago today I was living in Florida, almost certainly not freezing to death, but probably unhappy with something involving school.

20 years ago today I was 3.

In Case… should be re-issued as the full show. Definitely one of the best live EPs to ever come out. Does Sire/Warner own that one, too?

I don’t get it. I just don’t get it. [:/]

Nonetheless,

definitely agree with the whole ‘Let’s reissue ICYDFLSU’… seriously, even for VHS the audio quality is great, but it would seriously sound amazing on DVD 5.1 DOLBY… Arrrghhghhhh… drool.

By the way Chrispy,

what was the deal with that random dude who looked a bit like Trent Reznor with a shaved head singing on ‘Thieves?’.

I should mention, if it means anything, that every time I’ve shown friends the video, a lot of them have commented on it saying ‘that dude singing that song with all the bass sounds heaps better than the guy with the cowboy hat’… well, not verbatim, but you get the drift.

I still think Al’s vox were good tho… certainly not using that as ammunition for the anti-Al sentiment.

Al’s got dental problems. I think he’s missing a front tooth.
Of course, Chris speaks from experience. He was born a subject of the British crown, and when you look at any old pics it’s obvious, if you know what I mean.

gooble gobble , we accept you, we accept you, one of us!

a fine subject indeed.
and a turkey, on occasion…hahahahhahahhah

awesome movie!

That would be Joe Kelly of Chicago’s Lost Cause filling in for Ian Mackaye on the live Pailhead songs. He also sang backup on Thieves. Chris has a few stories about him in the book.

“Unacceptable!”

Best part of the whole book.

definitely the most memorable!
