Hello everyone!
If you’re a twitchy Ministry fan like I am, perhaps you might enjoy these two pictures that I found with Al back in his early RevCo days. Les voilà!

Heh, those are great!
It was a more innocent time…everyone had all their teeth.
cool!
Is it me or does the guy who’s smoking in the first picture look an awful lot like Conan O’Brien?
edit: the guy who is smoking but is not wearing sunglasses I mean
yea these were posted here awhile back.

That would be Richard 23 from Front 242.
1002

I was thinking the exact same thing!
Yes, I think I’ve seen the third one two, but I don’t remember where. It’s truly AMAZING how Al’s looks have changed so dramatically (and often) between 1982 and 1991: The pre-With Sympathy look, the With Sympathy look, the plucked-eyebrows goth look (1984), his simple goth look (1985), his post-apocalyptic goth look (over the shoulder video), then his blond Klaus Nomi look (see 1986 TOURS), and then the skinhead look! The rest, you all know… But have ANY OF YOU noticed how his spoken voice (and midwestern accent) has changed as well? I’m starting to wonder if the present Al came along on New Year’s Day in 1987 and killed the previous Al… an evil twin? Excuse my rambling!
actually… NO. i’ve heard 83 interview and his voice on sphinctour dvd when he’s sitting backstage before stigmata is pretty much the same. also in animositisomina dvd video.
animositisomina dvd video.
What’s that? A live DVD? Bootleg? Audio DVD?
5-min clip called devil in the details, it shows the ranch with some al and paul talk, it’s on animositisomina dvd autio as a bonus.

Ok, thx for the info.
GILA:
Ah, okay. I haven’t heard his voice on the Sphinctour. What struck me was the way he introduces “Thrill Kill Kult” (which is such an awesome song), with his twitch-days voice, and then his voice when he introduces other songs in his future concerts. Now he has a real “tough guy” voice, which really wasn’t the case in his early career. Anyways…
I wonder which era Adrienne prefers. That would be cool if she said: “Dad, please play Halloween!”. Al would probably respond: “No! Go to your room, you’re grounded!”
lol
Not sure about his voice really, but his attitude has changed!
Al on stage in '86 - “You’re all very nice people…”
Al on stage in '04 - “Alright, you fuckers!”
Can’t decide WHICH I like better…
My favorite Al line when onstage?
To paraphrase (don’t have the mp3 here in front of me to listen to again):
“It’s awfully bloody hot in here…it’s about to get even hotter”
This right before he launches into Love Change (the live version Bisquit posted here a year or two ago), arguably the synthiest, poppiest song he ever did.

I think that’s probably the difference between mid-80’s designer drugs and Fightin’ Cock Whiskey.
