180gm Reissues specifically "In Case you didn't feel...

It was a nice surprise to see Ministry getting the audiophile treatment instead of the usual suspects… London Calling, Ziggy Stardust etc

I picked up Twitch & In case as they’re my favourites. Twitch sounded exactly as i hoped and expected it to (very good) but “In Case…” is amazing

whereas the cd is kinda distant sounding, glossy and unengaging the 180gm vinyl is like being there, I went straight to “so what” and dropped the needle, the difference was noticeable from Pauls first bass note it sounded natural and “present” in a way the cd doesn’t
I never heard the original 1990 vinyl so i have no idea if this release was always better on vinyl
the difference is such that i’m wondering if the CD was messed up

the vinyl sounds much closer to the revco b-sides

between this and the cleo 2CD i think i will be using the original “in case” cd as an ashtray or a bird scarer from now on!

with this and the cleo near complete cd i’m feeling very spoiled right now, it would be churlish to wish for a DVD … but i will!

does anyone have any insights on why in case sounds so good?
its on the short side for an LP 20 & 17 minutes on each side respectively. that could explain some of the improvement

with the cleo version i nearly didn’t bother with the “In Case” reissue but i’m very glad i did

so
what do you guys think of the 180gm vinyls for “Mind” & “Land”?

I haven’t heard any of those yet, but I did pick up Dark Side of the Spoon, since that was the first time it was pressed to vinyl. If that’s any indication of what the others sound like, then they should all sound great.

I was going to pass on In Case since I bought Necronomicon, but with your recommendation I’ll probably get it at some point.

I have the original pressings of the others, which sound great. I don’t think I can justify buying the re-issues on those.

Has anyone picked up Houses, Animosity or Sphinctour yet? I am pretty curious about those.
