180 Gram Reissue Of The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste

I was just browsing through Piccadilly Records “Just In” records and stumbled upon the above release…

That’s cool that they’re re-issuing it. I think LORAH and P69 both got re-issues as well. I think they should really consider putting out DSOTS, Animosity and HOTM out on vinyl, since those are the only ones that weren’t issued on vinyl.

Someone got this?

Thanks for posting, akbar

Thanks, picked up both.

You do realize that the SHM CD is a ripoff and is no different than a normal CD?

I’ll probably get it if it makes itself easily available to me-IE ends up at amoeba or on discgs for cheap (I own the SHM of Slash’s first solo album) but only because I’m an asshole that wants to have all of it…

So that japan remaster is not remaster in fact?

I didn’t notice that part. Maybe it is a remaster. But seriously is a master worth 30 bucks?

The standard CD sounds absolutely fine to me.

The whole “remaster” trend is a bit silly. Albums that were recorded before CDs took off sounded a bit muddy on their original CD pressings, due it being early in the game and engineers didn’t quite have a feel for how CDs should sound. Those deserved a remastered edition.

Any album recorded after 1985 really has no excuse unless there was something legitimately wrong with the original.

CDs are gay.

Yep…big difference. Destruction for example…High defined treble and separation.

I am REALLY interested in hearing the remastered TLORAH. Any samples online?
