Your Backstage Rider

I miss table top video games…

There’s a few of the old classics of these at a pizza place in Las Vegas (at The Cosmopolitan). As I recall they have the sit down tabletop version of Galaga, Ms. Pac Man, and Centipede.

About 10 years back there was a great coffee shop/ arcade in Fullerton called The Reagan Years. It had a crazy collection of ONLY 80’s video games.

That place sounds great…in the 80’s every place you went had a video game…even the table top’s which I never see down here anymore…waiting for a table?Play a fucking video game while you wait…doing your laundry?Play a video game…go into store to buy a candy bar:stay for 3 hours playing video games…

There used to be a place down here in the 80s called the Yankee Trader that got all the new arcade games when they came out…they had Joust,Defender,Kong and Kong Jr,all the Pac-man games,Galaxia,Galaga,Centipede,Millipede,Q-bert,Dig Dug,Arcganoid and a Burger Time table top…fucking boss…

I used to spend HOURS at 7-11 and the donut shop. Not because I was addicted to donuts or Slurpees (but I’d buy 'em too) but because they had awesome video games.

You and me both…the good old days…back in the days when you could turn in bottles and get $ back…

Yep! Or put up a lemonade stand.
We’d sell lemonade for a few hours for 10 or 15 cents a glass then after a while we had enough to go down to Thrifty, buy ice cream cones, and then play a few more video games.

I hear ya,man…I used to sell mango’s because we had a tree in my back yard…I’d sell those fuckers and then collect all the bottles and go right over to the convenience store and blow it all on slurpee’s,Slim Jim’s and video games…a perfect day…

Yeah. Add to all the above a PS3 hooked up to a 61" Plasma, two litre bottle of chilled Coca Cola and a plate of assorted deep fried nibblies and that’s my ideal Rider in a nutshell.

Rock N Rollergames

I looked it up. It looks like a really good game, despite the cheesy theme. Lots of chutes and obstacles and an upper deck. Apparently it was based on the Rollergames TV Show which was cancelled before the pinball game even got shipped, hahahahaha!!!

And from what people are writing I guess it had some kickass sounds/ music.

we could do that in canada. why would they stop that?

Pinball rules. Spent a time ton of time playing at the great, defunct Pak Mann arcade in Pasadena. Funhouse is an all time favorite along with Addam’s Family and even though it is new, Lord of the Rings.

Gunnar, check this place out when you are in the area. They have Rollergames, Funhouse, etc. and they were in decent shape last time I was there.

Good call! Addams Family was indeed a great one! Twilight Zone was badass too! I loved the spinny vortex thing that would make the ball go all wonky.

Let’s talk more about food.

Junk food more specifically.

Ok fine. Do you have those weird flavored Kit Kat bars? Y’know, four peanut butter sticks to a square?

They make them in Japan, just curious if they are like that in the Pacific rim as well…we had an Aussie roommate whose folks sent him Tim Tams sometimes, but they started to sell them locally lately.
