what are you wearing right now?

carmangary, try H &M online if you don’t have one where you be.I hear their lightweight sweaters have pretty long sleeves. a perennial problem with the tall one. levis 517, as far as the pants. otherwise, Ross.
Once again, (pre) Happy Muthas Day.

Nothing wrong with stripes! I only wear a striped tie when wearing a solid shirt (black). And I usually go solid burgundy tie when wearing a striped shirt. I switch it up sometimes though. I own two ties, heh. The burgundy one and one similar to gunnar’s “power tie”, but black and white.

you are are married to the daddy long legs.

Awwww, ^that made me laugh in a nothing-against-Paul way.

A relative and I were talking about non-violent/non-emotionally abusive punishments for their kids. One was limiting their wardrobe choices for the school week. Today, that’s how I felt, as I had to pack two weeks of clothes for an upcoming trip.
Their kid stopped acting up…for a while…

Currently on me; a dark green faux fur capelet, black button down shirt, a peplum skirt, and slippers.
I’m a bit of a clothes horse.

His Dudeness

And Happy Mother’s Day to American mothers. You gave me a scare there Gerda, but then I got reassurance that we celebrate Mother’s Day in March over here. Phew, close one!

I can relate to clothing sizing issues on several points.

I have the same issue of long-sleeves that button at the cuff or sweater sleeves not being long enough. Despite the shirt fitting everywhere else, I’ve accidentally ripped out the shoulder seem in several l-s shirts when reaching for something or driving.

I can also relate to carmangary’s issues of inseam length. I wear a 31"-32". It seems that either manufacturers have forgotten about us or they are not producing enough because it sells out instantly when it hits the store shelf. Since there are plenty of 34", I’ve gone to the lengths of buying 34" and hemming my own when I can or paying the tailor the $10 to shorten them into a professional hem.

Shoes/boots are also a challenge - I wear a womens US 9.5-11B or a mens US 8.5-9. I normally have to have them bring out every pair of womens shoes they have in an 11 (all 4 pairs of them) and make a choice from there. Otherwise, I buy mens to get a better fit. Many of the mid-price and high-price designers are catching on that feet are getting bigger and have started making 10.5 and greater; however, these shoes come at a high price ($150-$1,200) and usually with a poor variety to select from because very few pairs are produced in each style in the largest sizes and the nice ones sell out instantly.

My suit is too big for me.
If I wore suits more often I’d have it taken in or buy a new one.
But meh.

One of my arms is about 1/4" longer than the other and it throws things off. Yes, I’m a freak!

HAHAHA!!! I have the same problem, but I’ve never taken measurements to see if it’s not just because of my jacked up spine or shoulders. But my right arm, held straight in front of me, will be 1.5" longer than my left.

Anyway . . . .

OK, Gerda, I’m going to try to modernize a little. I let my wife pick out a couple “skinny ties” for me at the shops last night, and they are all solids, one is silverish gray, another black, and one is some weird ass metallic purplish color. I don’t know how to describe it. It’s kind of cool.

We’ll see how it goes . . . .

It’s common for people to not be perfectly symmetrical.
it’s normal for people to have one army slightly longer than the other, one foot slightly larger than the other, one leg slightly longer than the other, Eyes don’t sit perfectly across from each other… usually it’s not enough for us to have to wear one mega shoe or look funny in the face or something.

Although I can’t tell if you fella’s measurements are outside of the norm of unequal proportions cause I really don’t know what the mean # is for uneveness. but unequal proportions of body parts is fairly common.

Gunnar it sounds like I have those two ties your talking about. I have metallic purplish one, as well as a shiny silver/grey one. cool ties!
Late,
grmpysmrf

white briefs,nothing else.

A plain black t-shirt and blue jeans.

Nice. I’ll try to get a pic later. I picked them up at one of the outlet shops in Cabazon. I don’t even know what store it was. My wife saw a shirt on one of the manequins she wanted me to try. Next thing I know I’m buying three ties. I’m just not sure if I have any shirts that go good with them. I’ll experiment later.

Guess who’s fully clothed for once?

You look like a child molester.

If you were a child molester…y’know, you can always talk about it with me. Get it off yr chest and all. I won’t tell anyone. I’m actually alot more open minded about these sort of things than you’d think. There was this one time I was at this neighbour’s kid’s birthday party and they had this slippery water slide thingy going on and we…ah…a ha ha…ah…eeeeuuuurrrghhh…yeah, ok maybe not…

Uhh, yeah, that wasn’t exactly the look I was going for . . .

Gunnar would have be sportin’ a skullet to fully qualify for that status.

Too tired to get out of my dirty work clothes.

But I do have a new Ministry shirt on the way.

For Gerda:

I actually got a small handful of compliments today even. I’m going to buy some new shirts tonight, as I don’t think I have anything that goes with my other ties I got (it’s a little easier to use the black one).

Brown Buddha short and rad gray hiking pants that turn into shorts when you unzip the legs. Yep, I’m a hippy.

Gunnar, get some solid colored shirts. Hate me if you will, but some soft goldular tone might be nice. I honestly don’t know why men don’t pay attention to what’s beyond the grit of being into the image of tshirts and then, there’s all the rest. well. most men. seriously. there’s a reason why Pablo looks the way he looks, why Chris Connelly looks the way he looks, why Bill Rieflin looks the way he looks. And it’s not because they get up in the morning and don’t care. were that the case, Bill would look like somebody who had dyed his hair too much and never had it cut. Chris would look like a girl, and Paul would look like a skinny exhippy bumming a cigarette and trying to look cool. whilst asking. and I know several people here didn’t like Connelly’s handlebar moustache, but in context, it worked! (disclaimer, yes I have known many dragqueens, but what the hell) Peace, people.
And wearing my blonde exodus shirt.

Gunnar, get some solid colored shirts.

I have a couple solids (blue, burgundy, and black) but I guess they’re all in the laundry or something. I wanted to try my burgundy one today.

Hate me if you will, but some soft goldular tone might be nice.

HAHA!!! I ain’t gonna hate you just because you make suggestions (which I may or may not take). Goldular?
What is that even? LIke yellow or something (I’ve never owned a piece of yellow clothing in my life)?
