What are you reading in quarantine?

Never tried one of them fatties. Never was a big smoker. I did smoke the occasional Black n Mild after high school lmao. Now those were smooth!

LOL I started with swisher sweets. I don’t think I ever tried a black n mild.
I’m not really a big smoker either.

Look at that big daddy!!

HAHA it was actually a stubby cigar. not one of those long ones. but it was thick like a long one. It was quite good but smoked really fast on account of how dry it was. still good though. I’m actually contemplating going to get another one but I’ sure my wife will freak out thinking I’m starting a habit. HAHA

Yeah probably best not to get a habit started with those fucking things…my friend is really in to cigars but I still wouldn’t consider it a habit…but he definitely likes to have a stash that he dips into for certain events and when he is serving some good scotch or something…he gets some real good ones and has this bad ass cigar humidor that keeps those things nice and fresh…and I don’t know if you know this grmps but if you don’t wanna get a whole humidor but want to have an occasional cigar, they have these little humidifier packets that you can just throw in a bag or box or wherever you keep your cigars and they do a good job of keeping them from drying out and getting all crusty…

Yeah, I don’t think I would form a habit, it’s not like I’ve ever craved them. I do know about those humidor packets but I get them, put em in and forget about them and they dry out before i smoke anything and in the end it’s done my cigars no good. LOL. I have a little humidor my wife got me one anniversary with glass and had it engraved. I’ve got really old cigars in there. but yeah, I usually forget about them and they dry out. Shit I forgot about that Kuba in the damn cupboard!! LOL

I buy and start a lot of books, but I’m terrible at finishing them. I misplace them and then two (or 10) years later I’m like, “Oh, right, I was reading that.”
I mostly read autobiographies. Typically of rock stars, but sometimes other figures.

I saw my wife had pulled out a stack of some of mine from a box downstairs, and I’m planning to finally finish these . . .

“Snakes, Guillotines, Electric Chairs” – Dennis Dunaway (original Alice Cooper group)
“Dancing With Myself” – Billy Idol
“But Enough About Me” – Burt Reynolds
“Mustaine” – Dave Mustaine

Last autobiography I was reading was Steven Adler’s. I got about 1/2 way through it while my wife was in labor but then my son was born and I kinda forgot about it and I wasn’t really into it. The part about him getting head from his girlfriends mom was kinda cool though…

I just finished the Mark Lanegan memoir, “Sing Backwards and Weep.” It’s fantastic.

Also has a pretty hilarious Al story when Screaming Trees and Ministry were on the Big Day Out Festival in Australia…95? 96?

Same! Such a good read…

Just picked up JMS’s Becoming Superman. The mans dad was a nazi and his mom and grandma were psychopaths who tried to kill him lmao. Very intriguing book. A must read for fans of Babylon 5 and JMS’s comic book work.

Now about halfway through “Wouldn’t It Be Nice: The Making of Pet Sounds”. Fascinating look into the recording of a brilliant piece of work.

Val Kilmer’s new autobiography “I’m Your Huckleberry.” The chapter on the making of “The Doors” was interesting.
