Revisited this recently and it didnt hit as hard as i remember back in high school. Still a solid album but there’s a lot of fucking dumb ambient and edm filler on both discs. I love ambient but Reznor’s ambient work has never been particularly good and if you think its good you’ve never been exposed to proper ambient.

Been spinning that sucker alot recently on a newly acquired amp. If I perfectly tune the bass and treble knobs the kick drum on the title track sounds crispy as fuck. You know what you are also benefits greatly from a proper hifi set up as it highlights the mids and highs.

It’s a little known Trees album from '89. A few years before grunge exploded and music execs from all over the US were literally signing teenager garage bands as long as they were from Seattle.
Shame this album escaped under the radar. Most people have never heard of it. But I’ve played this a few times at house parties and I always get a few comments on how great it is.
Hopefully one day it gets the vinyl release update it deserves.
