Bill Ward-Ward One: All Along the Way
Janis joplin - Box of pearls…on shuffle.
Godflesh-Purge
Ice- Under the Skin
Terminal Power Company -Red Skin Eclipse
God-Loco
Icons of the Underground Vol. 1- Danzig.
One of the better compilations I’ve heard.
Corrosion of Conformity - Animosity
My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult - Sinister Whisperz IV: The Bedroom Tapes
I didn’t know this existed. Most of these demos are completely unheard songs, and the ones that are similar to later songs are different enough to be interesting. And they all sound like TKK meets Twitch-era Ministry.
It’s only a couple months old. They were selling it on their most recent tour. It’s a really great album.
Thanks for the heads up Rev…this shit is pretty good!
My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult - Sinister Whisperz IV: The Bedroom Tapes
Wow, this tune is great…Out Of Order 87
The Crystal Method - Live show 7-21-1999
Terminal Power Company- Run Silent ,Run Deep
1970 - Lord Sutch And Heavy Friends
That Lord Sutch album is a great one…
…some heavy hitters play on that record…I thought that was the only album ever released by Lord Sutch but on Wikipedia it says there was a 1982 release…could just be some shoddy comp or something,I’m not sure …
Big Black-Atomizer
Big Black- Songs About Fucking
These two still slap hard as fuck …
Who is Big Black?
One of Steve Albini’s bands from the mid to late 80s…only did 2 full lengths and a few EP’s…noisy, cacophonous and abrasive yet weirdly catchy and awesome if you like that kind of thing…
A lot of people like to accuse Al of ripping off Big Black since they were using a drum machine on those releases.
I feel like Al heard those Big Black songs and said “These are cool, but what if they didn’t sound like dogshit?”
Hahaha yeah Big Black isn’t for everyone…I like that they sound like dogshit…it’s part of the appeal for me…
I’ve heard the criticism about Al ripping off Big Black in the past…while I can def see some comparisons I think “rip off” is a bit much…Al forged his own path on those early records…
Fucking love this album. “L Dopa” is one of the nastiest songs ever recorded – but then again, that was their bread & butter.
I love that “Bombastic Intro” is the last track. (Unless you count their cover of “He’s A Whore” – also choice – as a bonus track, as it appears on some editions.)
