Yeah just saw an article about this…haven’t listened yet but will check it this evening

Curious, what did you think about the new PJ?

eh. it’s not my thing. I appreciate where she’s going with her music. and i’m sure she doesn’t want to continue writing the same songs for 20 plus years, but i prefer her first two records with a 3-piece straight forward rock tunes.

I enjoyed it…surely nothing mind blowing but a good indication of where she is in here career…I’ll check the whole album out when it arrives

Killing Joke- Pandemonium

This fucker still rules…

I was looking at ads for that…I’m guessing the bonus stuff is just live shit, right?

Shit I forgot about that release. I may need to grab that.

Not much with this one. Dolby Atmos mix, singles they released (live & edit). Picture disc & book/pictures…

Perm waves box is killer, bonus live show complete, geddys voice live from that era is a must listen.

John Zorn/ Bill Laswell- Memoria

Been on a serious Ozzy bender lately, last couple months, actually. All Ozzy all the time, except for the occasional Black Eyed Peas track, (My daughter likes the Black Eyed Peas.)
The new Patient #9 album is really good, I wrote it here before but I still stand by the title track, total ear candy.

Ugh. Sorry to offend some of your delicate sensibilities around here, but goddamn Ozzy sucks ass. Haha.

Blizzard and Diary were excellent. The rest of the catalog pales in comparison and is pretty skip-able.

I love the entire ozzy catalog but I’m also not a musical idiot. Theres more than just ministry or front 242 in the world.
If your phone doesn’t span between nin and the go go’s then you deserve just that.

My sensibilities never get offended by anyone else’s taste…I like what I like and simply don’t give a shit if others do or don’t…that being said I love everything Oz did with Sab and think Blizzard through Bark at the Moon are all time classics…Ultimate Sin is cool but after that he really fell off for me…I do like what I’ve heard from the new one though…never hurts to have Iommi and the late great Jeff Beck in your corner…I know Oz has turned in to a caricature over the years with the Osbournes show and all of Sharon’s drama but I ultimately don’t give a fuck…Ozzy is Ozzy and to me he is a legend…long may he run…

Blizzard, Bark and Diary capture a certain charm that has yet to be replicated (by anyone). I don’t know if that makes them the best, but they’re definitely the most unique. That being said, I think Ultimate Sin is my favorite album followed by No Rest for the Wicked. But my favorite Ozzy song comes off of Ozzmosis, I Just Want You. Man, I loop that song for days, and have to force myself to change it. Ozzmosis is probably the last of the solid albums, not counting Patient #9.
It took me a while to get into Ozzy because my first album by him was No More Tears and of the older/great albums that’s absolutely the worst of them (Or the best of the bad albums). I Replayed Mama I’m Coming Home so many times in high school that I wore it out (unlike I Just Want You which has no spin life expiration) I was never a big fan of the title track (although, I like it a lot now especially after really paying attention to the lyrics. man it’s fucked up) but the rest of the album is kinda meh, Hellraiser is another gem on that album I didn’t recognize until later, but yeah, I barely ever listen to that album in its entirety, but every album before that and Ozzmosis, definitely.
Pretty much every album after Ozzmosis has a couple good songs on them, but hold too much filler to be solid albums. So, all you really need are the singles off of those albums, no need to buy the whole album. This concludes my Ozzy albums report. Thank you for your time.
