The Pogues - Dirty Old Town
Cabinet… Jane’s Addiction
I swear, the demo for Mountain Song must be the same as the one from Kettle Whistle. Don’t have that comp on my ipod, nor am i home (fucking work!), but i could swear they’re the same. Fun listen though, especially the wild, and original Suffer Some. 10x better than the Strays version, even if a demo. And I actually like the new version too.
And Perry sounds insane on the live disc. If that was what it’s like to catch ja in their prime, then fucking A! Overall, it’s a pretty nice comp.
I listened to Moev for the first time in a long time last night.
That’s some good stuff right there.

Wow, Moev - haven’t thought of them for years. Which album? Might have to track a little down again.
Yeah Whatever.
Tonight I’ll have to put on Head Down and see if it also falls into the “Why the hell don’t I listen to this all the time?” category.

stupid store exclusives…i’d have probably gotten it on amazon and missed out on the disc if i didn’t catch the flyer mention it
Apparently that best buy disc minus two, is an entire concert. Might pick up the boxset tomorrow. Downloaded it cause i’m broke.
Aceyalone’s new album with the Lonely Ones. Great stuff.
Yeah Whatever.

Yeah Whatever gets a decent amount of plays around here, the bass in Crucify Me is pretty amazing. I saw that show at the Roxy, and they played with Xymox if I remember correctly. Its a shame about Dean Russell passing away in '94 as he was a gifted vocalist.
Head Down I don’t listen to that much anymore, but Miracle is a good song on that one. For a time Moev was even more synonymous with Nettwerk than even Skinny Puppy, Mark Jowett who was their guitarist was one of Nettwerk’s three founders along with Terry McBride and Ric Arboit.
I have their first album Zimmerkampf on vinyl and it is quite amazing for '82. The cd version titled ‘Early Years’ has the Cracked Mirror single on it as well which is a mostly forgotten gem of new wave.

No reasons to get back

The limit of what we got
