What are you listening to right now?

I have that first Ju Ju Hounds album but never really heard much of his solo stuff aside from that one…I like that one quite a bit…

If you liked that one a lot you’ll dig his catalog. I honestly think the ju ju hounds is his weakest effort but still quite good… once you get familiar with his catalog all of his songs pop right out in the gnr catalog.

King Crimson - Thraak

Skynyrd live at knebworth '76, skynyrds best show ever, the knebworth tracks are superior to the studio tracks and also better than one more from the road.
The band is incredibly tight and opening for the stones will def keep you on your toes.
This is my fav live show from any band.
Blu ray and cd are must haves if you love it live.

The same exact thing can be said for spinctour…
Absolutely perfect.

A playlist I made of all the Razormaid remixes available on Spotify.

Original Recording by Noah Snyder
Mixed by Alan Moulder
Vocals: Trent Reznor, Danny Elfman
Synths and Samples - Danny Elfman, Trent Reznor
Guitars - Danny Elfman
Drums - Josh Freese
Bass - Stu Brooks
Mastered by Joe LaPorta at Sterling Sound

How do you like this? I saw a headline today for these remixes and I wasn’t sure that would be something I’d wanna dig into… Both trent and Elfman have very distinct sounds I don’t know if I wanna check em out together.

Ahhh the Geezer box set…did you actually buy the set or are you just streaming it?..I have all of those 4 albums but I think there is am extra disc with unreleased shit on it,right?

That Reznor/Elfman collab is damn solid stuff. A lot of the YT comments liken it to 80’s Wax Trax! material. Video is pretty trippy too.

Just checked out the mentioned True this morning, I wasn’t disappointed! I looked up the rythm section, Freese sounded familiar, him and Brooks have interesting recording/performance history.

No diggity on the Reznor/Elfman combo. I couldn’t even make it through the whole thing.

I haven’t liked anything Trent has done recently but I did like this track.

I grabbed it off the internet. Yep, disc 4 has some demos, etc. Black Science is really the only release I like and I’m not sure if the mix is an improvement. Sounded high pitched and not much bass. That would be a sin since Geezer is a bassist…lol. It might be the mp3’s & just not coded correctly.

I prefer the recent NIN/HEALTH collaboration to Reznor/Elfman.

Alex Lifeson - Lerxst Demos

I’m beginning to suspect the next NIN album will be the obligatory “collabs” record every long-term artist feels compelled to produce. We’ll see.

I just heard the new Billy Idol song “Bitter Taste”. It’s great. Has a Chris Isaac vibe.
Billy can do no wrong in my book.

Sometimes I think I might like Bruce’s solo catalog even better than Iron Maiden.
This entire album is just fucking incredible.

This one was punching hard today. It gives less than zero fucks.
The song is kind of bananas. And the lyrics are just on a whole other level.
This album also has “Tears of the Dragon” which is one of my absolute favorite songs of all time.

Commmentary:

I am a bit behind the times and I still buy CDs and rip them to listen to on my devices. Mainly my iPhone. I finally removed all my personally ripped CDs from my devices, and I am exclusively using apple music. It’s weird. I love buying CDs, and I still will. But I will avoid ripping them to listen to unless i must. This is so strange for me, i feel like if i go this route there may not be a reason to purchase music at times. But I will still buy CDs. I don’t really care for records, I prefer CDs.

This may all get scratched next week, but this is where i am right now. Just wanted to share with fellow music lovers.
