What are you listening to right now?

Today’s new releases I’m listening to:
Marilyn Manson - We Are Chaos
Blitzen Trapper - whatever the new one is called
PJ Harvey - To Bring You My Love Demos

Hahaha we are talking about different BOC’s

I’m showing my age…

I have Sun Fix, too. it’s one of the few that isn’t the Lollapalooza boot rebranded or the omaha boot rebranded. I like it. it’s a good show.

I guess I’m gonna have to try out Marilyn you had me interested at piano.

I was talking about Blue Oyster Cult but was searching and the other BOC came up…I thought I would respond to the Australian.

Mastodon is out. The new tune is pretty epic.

Metric - Fantasies
Paradise Lost - Believe in Nothing
Republica - s/t
DEATHTOUCH - s/t
KMFDM - Opium
Cranberries - Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?
Lick - Breech

Eno/Fripp-No Pussyfooting
Brian Eno-Here Come the Warm Jets
Curved Air-Air Conditioning

Lots of Sublime. Mostly 40 Oz

Anyone here like classical music? Started listening to it in heavy rotation lately.

Fantasia OST
A Clockwork Orange OST
Holst - The Planets (Chicago Symphony Orchestra)
Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 (Otto Klemperer)

Many of those names may mean nothing to you… and they pretty much mean nothing to me. I’ve wanted to give classical a decent shake for years, and now it looks like its turn at bat has come.

So… any suggestions?

Yes! All good pics. Clockwork Orange is great. I have a few other Carlos LPs, including Switched On Bach.

Used to have The Planets on cassette, still looking for a good LP copy.

Also can’t go wrong with anything by John Williams.

Side 2 of Discreet Music by Brian Eno…and also enjoy the more ambient Side 1

Also enminor on vinyl.

What do u think? I was pleasantly surprised. Didn’t think he had a mid-90s Swans impersonation in him.

I think it’s very unique, has all the mental hooks you’ve always been haunted by until now.
Also have the 7".
Bandcamp for the vinyl is the way to go, the digital download is 320 not you know who’s 256.

Spiderland on repeat until the world makes sense.

So you will be listening to it eternally then?

Underworld - Dubnobasswithmyheadman

Such a good record. At once timeless and an instant flashback to 1994. I also tried to listen to their first two records, having never heard them before, but I couldn’t even get through them. Almost as hard a stylistic shift as Ministry’s.

I got the live album by Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets on Wednesday, and I gotta say, I am really unimpressed. Appalled, actually. Nick Mason is in fine form but he’s recruited some real nobodies to play all of the other instruments and sing, and the result is some kind of groovy late 70s soft rock take on my favorite Floyd era (the years between Piper and Dark Side, when they went waaaay off the reservation). I feel like somebody pissed in my beer. The Flaming Lips’ take on “Dark Side” is better, and that’s saying something.
