Fishbone (is red hot)
Fishbone fucking rule…back in their prime there wasn’t a band on the planet who could match them in a live setting…[/reply]
I saw them about a week ago. I see Fishbone every time they come to town, and usually I’m a little disappointed, mainly because the setlist is always the same. WELL. They pulled out all the stops this time. Best Fishbone show I’ve seen in ten years. Why that band didn’t change the universe is beyond me.[/reply]
I still catch them every time I can and they never disappoint me…yeah some shows are better than others(usually depends on how pissed Angelo and Norwood are at each other)…late 80s/early 90s they were untouchable though…

I never caught them in their prime. The first I saw of them was on the 3rd Lollapalooza tour. I didn’t know there was friction between Angelo and Norwood, but I will say this: Angelo ALWAYS looks pissed off for most of the show. I don’t know if that’s because of their misfortune, or because it’s his natural face, or what.

I’d say they were still in the latter part of their prime on the 3rd Lolla tour…Angelo is super cool…I have met him on a number of occasions and even helped him fix his bike in 93 in Orlando…have you seen the documentary about them? That would help explain the friction between those two…it’s a great doc, highly recommended…
Yep,thats the one…when it premiered I went to see it at a little independent theatre in mid-town Miami called the O Cinema…Angelo and Norwood showed up and did a little Q&A at the end of it and then hung out with every one afterwards…it was a cool evening…
Been giving the new Iron Maiden album a few spins.
Now, i am not what you’d consider to be a hardcore fan of Maiden - i do like them, have seen them live a few times, i’d just never sit down and listen to an album, and would never have any desire to do so - but i’ll be damned if this album isn’t absolutely brilliant. There’s not a bad track on it, it’s great, classic Maiden from start to finish.
