What are you listening to right now?

Anthrax
Foetus
Fishbone (is red hot)

Fishbone fucking rule…back in their prime there wasn’t a band on the planet who could match them in a live setting…[/reply]

I saw them about a week ago. I see Fishbone every time they come to town, and usually I’m a little disappointed, mainly because the setlist is always the same. WELL. They pulled out all the stops this time. Best Fishbone show I’ve seen in ten years. Why that band didn’t change the universe is beyond me.[/reply]

I still catch them every time I can and they never disappoint me…yeah some shows are better than others(usually depends on how pissed Angelo and Norwood are at each other)…late 80s/early 90s they were untouchable though…

I never caught them in their prime. The first I saw of them was on the 3rd Lollapalooza tour. I didn’t know there was friction between Angelo and Norwood, but I will say this: Angelo ALWAYS looks pissed off for most of the show. I don’t know if that’s because of their misfortune, or because it’s his natural face, or what.

I’d say they were still in the latter part of their prime on the 3rd Lolla tour…Angelo is super cool…I have met him on a number of occasions and even helped him fix his bike in 93 in Orlando…have you seen the documentary about them? That would help explain the friction between those two…it’s a great doc, highly recommended…

That is a great documentary. Everyday Sunshine.

Yep,thats the one…when it premiered I went to see it at a little independent theatre in mid-town Miami called the O Cinema…Angelo and Norwood showed up and did a little Q&A at the end of it and then hung out with every one afterwards…it was a cool evening…

New Clutch. Low & Slow. A whole bunch of Lorries. Severed Fucking Heads.

Dog Fashion Disco - Ad Nauseam

Fucking amazing. Like a cross between Faith No More and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. So, FNM with horns.

I think I heard something about a new Dog Fashion Disco album last week…

Been giving the new Iron Maiden album a few spins.

Now, i am not what you’d consider to be a hardcore fan of Maiden - i do like them, have seen them live a few times, i’d just never sit down and listen to an album, and would never have any desire to do so - but i’ll be damned if this album isn’t absolutely brilliant. There’s not a bad track on it, it’s great, classic Maiden from start to finish.

You did. “Ad Nauseam” is the one you heard about.

Swans - The Gate

BOC-Secret Treaties

Tons of LiG.

Slab! - Descension

Bill Laswell/Mick Harris-Somnific Flux

NWA - 100 Miles & Runnin EP
Thorns Vs Emperor
Morris Day & The Time - The Time (Side 2)
Led Zeppelin - Coda
Mercyful Fate - Return of the Vampire
PIG - Disrupt Degrade & Devastate EP

Loop: Heaven’s End

better than Spacemen 3 who they always get compared to, imho…awesome tranced-out hymns to electricity

Mika Vainio & Franck Vigroux: Peau Froide, Legere Soleil (out next week)

great raw electronics all across the frequency spectrum

Deepchord - Ultraviolet Music (out in November)

the press release tagged it as “heroin house”; ideal for fans of Porter Ricks, Wolfgang Voigt and other atmospheric dream-scape techno

Joe Walsh - In the City

just the song. Because I wanted to celebrate the safe return of the Warriors to Coney Island.

Mayhem - European Legions
