I like that album too.
“Laughing Man in the Devil Mask” with Rollins is rad, and I also really like the one with Ian Astbury (The Cult).

I like that album also but I like Fused(w/ Glenn Hughes) better…

This is making me wanna listen to Seventh Star…

Did anyone ever hear the other one Iommi and Hughes did?..I believe it was called the DEP sessions or some such thing…I never got around to checking that one out…

No, I am not familiar with that one, Queer.

On a related tangent, most of Geezer’s side stuff (often packaged as GZR) is really good.

Soaked in bleach is better than all this shit!! [pirate]
White guitar Coofin sniffers [mad]

Black Science is Geezer’s best one, imo…

Bill Wards stuff is my favorite Sab related solo stuff…especially Along the Way and the new one(Accountable Beasts)…

Some have called them “the last true punk band.” Their album The Shape of Punk To Come got a lot of praise when it came out, but they broke up soon after. I’ve been wanting to catch them live since the reunion.

Just bought some clearance CD’s from Amoeba (4 for $9) . . . .

Sisters of Mercy – Vision Thing (I like it - It reminds me of the stuff Iggy Pop was doing in the later 80’s). I found a really obvious steal from Dio in it too, which I’ll post later.)

Front 242 – Front By Front (It sounds a bit tired and dated and reminds me why I don’t really go out of my way to listen to any “industrial” music anymore).

James Brown – Get Up Off That Thang (It’s James Brown, doing a bunch of his big hits live. No furth explanation needed. It rules.)

Spinal Tap – Break Like The Wind (I’d not heard this album in 20 years. Certainly not comparable to their original soundtrack, but it’s still got some good laughs on it. It’s a bit over-produced, with professional hot-shot musicians and such, which I think makes it a bit of a mess, but it’s still fun just having it.)

Vision Thang hahahaha!!! That’s when Andrew Eldritch was going around saying the Sisters of Mercy, Motörhead and Crass were the “only heavy metal bands in the world.” And does that Spinal Tap album have “Bitch School” on it?

They’ve got a new one coming out June 30, it’s called “Freedom.”

Yeah, the Spinal Tap album is the one with “Bitch School”. The other semi/sorta hit from it was “Christmas With The Devil”.
