I have that boxset.
Always had a soft spot for them. Funny how Sonic Youth and Nirvana consider them to be an influence.

Was a huge fan of White Zombie as a youngster (Astro Creep was my favourite album before I found Ministry). Still like ‘La Sexorcisto’, ‘Astro Creep’ and to a lesser extent ‘Supersexy…’ but I came upon their earlier stuff not long ago and… well… lets just say I blocked it out of my memory. ‘La Sexorcisto’ was a dramatic improvement on ‘Soul Crusher’ and ‘Make Them Die Slowly’.
Never really dug Rob Zombie though.

You should definitely get the God of Thunder e.p. It’s a stylistic prequel to Sexorcisto - I think it’s the first three tracks on the third disc of the box set…
I so wanna start a Rob/White Zombie cover/tribute band. Hell, all I’d need to do is gather up a few Twilight Zone samples, a few clips of women really enjoying themselves, lay that over a pounding guitar riff, and yell relentlessly about tits and cars, sprinkling the occasional “YEAH, MOTHAFUCKAH” in where applicable.

awesome 2 disc album, I prefer the drone stuff of disc 2, but disc 1 is one of the finest electronic albums I own I’d say.
