Sorry grmpy, but I gotta side with Olsen on this one. This is Darkthrone’s best work in nearly a decade.

Olsen lets his “friend” take pics of his dark throne.
<facepalm>
!!
I’m listening to the latest Entombed (AD) album.
It totally blows.
Like a crappier version of Chaos AD era Sepultura.

Awesome! Did you ever buy the 4 disc box set with the singles, demos and live bootleg from Halloween 1985?

I never got that one but was always curious about it…I do have the 7 disc Rare Cult black box though which is very gratifying…

I do have that. Some great stuff on there. I need to find it & listen again!

I bought the 2 disc set!!
Seriously 4 discs for that album would be WAY over the top. It’s good but not THAT good.
The second cd (remixes / b sides) is really good. How Little Face never made it as an A side is anyone’s guess. That song is freakin awesome.
I am surprised at how well Love has stood the test of time - which is more than I can say for either Electric or Sonic Temple. Fuckin cock rock bullshit.
And how bad was The Cult’s “grunge-y” self titled?!?!
I saw them on that tour (it was a few weeks after I saw Ministry in 1995) and they sucked. Really really sucked!!
Noam Chomsky- War Crimes And Imperial Fantasies
Love had some of the last remnants of Southern Death Cult in my opinion, and I like that stuff way more than what they became known for. After that, it’s select songs which are most likely singles.
Silver Jews - American Water
William Burroughs - Spare Ass Annie And Other Tales
Sodom - Persecution Mania
Pharmakon - Abandon

YUS! I need to restock on Sodom.
Fields Of The Nephilim - Chord Of Souls
Been procrastinating on buying The Nephilim for too long. I’m either starting there or Dawnrazor.

Peligro, PM me some postal details and I’ll send you the compilation CD from my first book (sold out, amazingly, given the pathetic promotional job done by the publisher.) There’s an otherwise unreleased version of ‘Crowd Pleaser’ featured on there.
There were 100 or so discs that were released with the books (which, again thanks to the inept publisher, I mounted on the covers myself), although there’s an “over run” of 50 or so that I still have here. I relish any opportunity to keep said publisher from making any further money off me by selling this kind of stuff on Ebay - including offering a superior version of my book [url http://tbwb.net/mb_book.html]for free - given that they breached contract with me numerous times.
The good news, I suppose, is that their non-payment of my royalties helped to fund Philip Best’s book, if you’re a fan of his.
I am a fan of his. Best’s vocal / lyrical contributions to Whitehouse are some of the greatest ever put to tape.
