George Harrison - Electronic Sound

Did you know George Harrison released an experimental electronic solo album in 1969? Neither did I until today!

I have a copy on vinyl…early Moog experiments…he never followed up this direction…it was a one shot deal…

Just starting to get into The Melvins. Their album with Lustmord is awesome.

That was quick, Kirk only left Down pretty recently to concentrate on Crowbar, he’s a fast worker.

Yeah, i’m looking forward to it. I was disappointed they lost Kirk and Rex, but i’m sure the new guys are great too. Hopefully i’ll see them again on their next tour as well. At least they didn’t take as long to get this EP done as the previous one.

yeah, their announcement of a new album is what triggered some crowbar action. haha.

and i have NO interest in the new Down stuff without Kirk actually. i mean, my favorite Down album was predominately Kirk (NOLA) and i have found myself less and less interested with their other album as time goes on. i feel like without his riff-mastery, and the perfect flows and melodies he cooks up, the EP will just be another collection of songs that Phil can stretch his broke-ass voice over.

now though, im in a Darkest Hour mood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9g_5uGtfbUg

Kirk is definitely a phenomenal player and a huge part of Down, i’ll miss him. Maybe i should start listening to Crowbar. The last time Down played Belfast Kirk’s shirt really made me laugh, just a black shirt that said “Listen to Thin Lizzy”. Direct and to the point. Nice as well that bands i, for some reason, assumed nobody would know outside Ireland or the UK, influenced bands i love from America, like Down and Mastodon.
