For me, this is the song to remind me of how white I am. I used to watch this video religiously when it would come on MTV (I guess they were still playing videos then). It’s the stuff that old white people’s upper-middle class Yuppie nightmares are made of.
Brilliant album!!! There cover of I Heard It Through The Grapevine is one of the greatest of all-time!!![/reply]
I found out about The Slits on tumblr. There was a pic posted with one of their members alongside Debbie Harry, Siouxie Sioux, Chrissy Hinde, Poly Styrene of X-Ray Specks, and the chick from The Selector. I was too stoned at the time to handle The Selector, but the Slits and X-Ray Specks were real fun to listen to.

Actually I have to retract my earlier statement…Selecter’s cover of James Bond is the greatest cover song of all-time!!!
Man that was a total yawn feast and let down from Lotus…his first Warp Records EP is still his best release…he set he bar high with that one and has never come close to matching it IMO.
About 3 or 4yrs back we saw him open for RZA at a small club here in Edinburgh…and man he friggin blew away RZA and his pretend Wu Tang Clan out of the water!!! Flying Lotus loves music and you can really tell when you see him live.
