I was just listening to the whole album, and wondered - if Al really applied himself - could he do a concept album at this stage; or is his brain just fried with the staccato of speed metal cycling his musical inclinations?

Al doing something progressive would’ve been interesting. Too late at this point, unfortunately.

I thought Houses of the Mole was kind of a loose concept album.

If you look at it that way, you could easily say that the entire bush trilogy were concept albums. And by progressive, I meant along the lines of Shine On You Crazy Diamond. So many parts.

Progressive was never really Al’s style. Even the long instrumental stuff he’s done doesn’t really fall into that category.
