I’m A little bummed I was going to by that Laser disc on Ebay of ICYDFLSU(L) But I forgot about it and the by the time I remembered the auction was well over and it only went for 15 bucks. I can get my hadns on a laser disc player and we woulda’ had a super nice fuckin rip of the Video But, alas, NO, DAMN IT!

I’ve got In Case… on LaserDisc and I’ve tried a few times to rip it to DVD. I always either had frame dropping or audio synch problems, though. I recently got a new set-top DVD-R, so maybe I can try ripping it again.
Whats the problem with the “special effects” sure it’s a little cheesy, but I don’t have a problem with it…
Huntermc, that would kick some serious rear, theres a guy on demonoid that mentioned he already has a DVDR rip of the laserdisc, but when prompted by a few people (including me [:)]) he never responded.
Did laserdiscs have “bonus features” ? If so did this one have anything fancy?
Heh… laserdiscs look awesome… I remember seeing the draw for one open years ago, was so massive. There’s a second hand record shop in the area I’m looking to move to, and they have a HEAP of laserdiscs… the most I’ve ever seen in one place (hundreds).
I don’t have a player as, obviousley, DVD superceded the format… however some would be pretty cool to have. Giant VCDs haha… what is the quality like anyway, is it DVDish quality?

Laserdiscs is near-DVD quality at 640x480 pixels, as opposed to VHS at 320x240 or DVD at 720x480. The bonus features we take for granted (such as deleted scenes and director’s commentary) all got their start first on laserdisc, but there isn’t really anything extra on the Ministry disc.
I was a big Laserdisc fan before DVD’s came out, and I’ve got probably about 50 of them. The quality was better, and you could simply skip to the track you want instead of fast forwarding through a tape.
I’ll see if I can do a rip of it this weekend and see how it turns out.

I’m downloading a 15 gig file right now which is taking priority. I Seeded over 20 Gigs of Dallas so I stopped seeding for a little “Me Time.” If no one has started seeding this again for ya by the time I’m done with my 15 giger. then I will seed for ya again. I’m at roughly 60% of my complete download so figure some time next week.

Man, I never knew there where that many out there.
I never frequent trading circles so I still don’t know, but I have had people on the board that post, as well as those that don’t post, ask me if I would post their DVD’s to torrents. For Example the New Jersey one (which should be up today)is coming from a guy named REPUGNANT PETE (his avatar is that of a womans hand in the shap of a V covering a really beige looking mouse with a fly wheel so it looks like she’s stradling her vagina - if anyone remembers that avatar??? I do but not the name) from washington. Stairwell is sending YGDSOAB. So I give credit where credit is due. for the most part, though, the ones that I’ve put up so, far, are all DVD’s I’ve gotten off of Ebay. (save for the New Revelations show which was coutesy of The Blink
