hey, ask al. he’s the purported genius behind all things ministry. have fun…
and mick, the guy on the cover of filth pig was a high school student outside of chicago. became a bit of a celeb at his school.
^
HAHAHAHAHA!!!
I would’ve been pulling that out all the time too if I was him. Just walk around with a CD booklet in my pocket at all times, ready to whip out whenever I needed a little boost impressing people (my crappy personality sure ain’t gonna do the trick).
I had this on cassette tape so I am not sure if the cassette frome cover actually had the whole image on it. Anyone know?
No it didn’t… most of the early cassettes had the image from the lp on the top of the casette and the bottom was the title and maybe the tracklisting, the cassette of this had a cropped image, here it is second from the top:
Ah, the day’s of tapes believe it or not when i was 12yrs. old the first tapes i ever shoplifted where broken (NIN) and psalm 69 from wal-mart, later i 5-fingered Last Rites. The rape and honey tape was also missing a few tracks which pissed me off.

HAHA!!! You need to steal from better stores.
yeah i wasn’t happy that the LoRaH cassette was a “shorter program” than the CD version, but back in the day… tape was a great cheap medium and they were everywhere.

Yeah, and they slid so easily from palm to jacket pocket.
Back in the day? Shit, I’m still buying tapes in 2011. Lots of really cool noise & experimental stuff being released on tape-only labels right now. Granted, it’s really just an extension of hipster pretension, but I’m still game to bite. Make ya work for the .mp3, ya know? Hooking up decks to yer soundcard and shit.
You know where i grew up(rural) that(wal-mart) was the closest thing to a mall, record store etc. If you can imagine 12-13 yr. old me used to go in there asking them to order E. Neubaten Caberet V. Throbbing Gristle etc. and get looked at like i was crazy. I miss the good old day’s when i used to think what music i listened to defined who i am, geez i was so serious about it then too ha!
I remember buying the A Drug Against War single at the mall one day.
Memories…
Thats neat to know about the FilthPig cover art.
As for TLOR&H
When i first got the record, I had seen an abstract image, but after looking at it closer, saw it was someone’s face.
Gunnar, I totally agree with your comment on stepping back and seeing the travesty.

That’s cool. Poor guy couldn’t enjoy his fame for long though, as he was already melting by the second photograph.
