The Cubs

Afra, there’s so much Mexican food here, it’s insane (hell, we border the damn country!)

Yeah, which is why I asked. Here there are a lot too - I think I went to the best one I have ever been to but the name escapes me but it’s near Chicago St. and Ashland (anyone?). When I go out there to AZ, I will make it a point to try some out. And Ted’s. Actually I do know a few people from Buffalo who now live there…

Ok, I get it you don’t like Baseball

What are you talking about ya wee numpty?!

In case you missed it i said Jizzim and i are big Cincinnati Reds fans!!!

hey afra, is it la pasadita?

No, not La Pasadita though that is a great place too.

afra, i always liked las mananitas on halsted, a block south of" townhall"copshop at addison.that was a favorite of the ministry/revco /LORAH and post projects crew. original chicago trax was like two blocks south.i believe las mananitas is still there. food is awesome. the owner was a spanish soap opera star.he had commercials on the local spanish station in the eighties.

afra, i think i got it. tecalitlan?

All I gotta say is most of you are lucky when it comes to food… Seattle has great Thai/Sushi/Seafood but there in NOWHERE to get good hot dogs and you really really gotta dig for the good Mexican food, best I’ve had is from a little Taco Truck on the south side.

Funny how this thread went from Baseball to hot dogs to Mexican food…

hey now, baseball’s all about stuffing your face with something good–rare, at the ballpark.then you get back to the game and pray you didn’t miss something.
with the cubs, usually not a problem.

Actually, chances are the Cubs can find a way to blow a huge lead in the amount of time it takes for you to grab a beer and a dog and return to your seat! They are notorious for that kind of incompetence!!!

Best seafood I ever had was in Seattle. I had halibut, clam chowder, and lobster in pasta up there. Incredible. Saw a Mariners game while I was up there, actually, while in town for a friend’s wedding. Washington’s a beautiful state, that’s for sure. To quote Mel Brooks, “Everything’s so greeeeeen.”

1002

ah yes. love those cubbies in any current configuration usually based upon some voodoo formula.
met mark grace once backstage after a ministry show. no lie.
what a gentleman(and probably blinded by his team’s um, FAME).

Don’t forget homo’s.[cool]

homo’s.
hm. are you suggesting there is a singular homo here who has something to say? or are you ragging on the collective, otherwise spelled “homos”?
you’re not a “homo” because you go to baseball games and try to eat good food, which for most means eating ,away from home.

Meh… baseball for me is like paying to watch paint dry.

As for Mexican food, I’m about fifteen minutes away from the border, so I’ve got the BEST without having to leave my neighborhood.

Plus, if I want some REALLY good stuff, I can always go to Sonora to get some.

Mexico fucking rules. When the U.S. implodes from all this pseudo-Byzantine political fuckery, I’m so there.

afra, i think i got it. tecalitlan?

Yep! That’s it! Thank you. Awesome place with very good margaritas (loaded). I definitely enjoyed it - will make it a point to go there again soon

Not that the owners care. They sell out every game and make huge amounts of money on the branding alone. “They” say real Cubs fans rarely go to the games either.
