He sure has! He writes like a bitter old sage. I honestly thought he was a nearing-40 jaded old bastard like me.
There just may be hope for the future yet . . . .

You know he wasn’t REALLY 120 years old. He was an actor in heavy, heavy makeup.
[reply] (I may be remembering incorrectly here though), however, I think Grumpy mentioned also being a fan of that film.
Oh yes, you are. I absolutely LOATHE that film, I detest that flick. that was a horrific waste of time and energy I hate myself for seeing it.[/reply]
Okay, that makes more sense now. The math wasn’t adding up otherwise. Thanks for clarifying.

horror films have been a HUGE chunk of my life, and even played into some of the learning contracts i wrote up in college.
All I remember is turning off the remake of TCM when one of the guys in the van said, “dude, there’s a house, check it out” or something along those lines…when it was 1973…

You don’t think people said dude in 1973? Cowboys used to say “dude” in the 1800s.

I don’t want to even really discuss this, because it’s lame, but…you do know that much of the “cowboy” lifestyle was fictionalized, right? And yes, there are/were dude ranches but I’ll be damned if I can pinpoint when “dude” was an everyday slang term.
Also, was Jessica Biel naked in this? Or close? Just wet nipple shirt?

heh heh
wet white shirt that you still had to use more imagination than visualization to see nips.

Al Swearengen used the term “dude” in Deadwood. And he was a ledgebox.
This should clear things up for y’all . . . .
