So what's up with the censorship of Ministry Facebook pages?

(that was my senior year of high school btw)

Now I feel old.

Feel old or realized you are old? [:P]

Older than you, but not too old quite yet.

I dunno. I got thrown out of the ability to leave comments, too. But that was after I tried to embarrass Al publicly on FB, so I guess I “deserved” it.

Al needs someone else to embarrass him publicly?

Old is the new young. If you’re not old, you’re last.

“Last” to what? the grave? old age? dementia? depends?

In 1994, my mom called me at my dorm at college. It was the second semester of my freshman year. She goes, “Just so ya know, John Candy died. And ya friend Kurt Cobain shot himself.”

So, yeah, they died around the same time, and uh, that’s my mom for ya.

I remember hearing the news about John Candy and was in shock…especially at such an early age too! I think that was a day or two around the Cobain overdose
in Rome. SCTV ruled as well!

Mrs. Jay used to catch all the flack for “censoring” the old PA board, and there were certainly times when she’d jump in accordingly, but most of the bullshit from that group was because of sycophantic asskissing moderators who couldn’t handle getting their own little butts hurt.

I was always open with my critical views on 13th Planet crap (Xxxmas CD’s, meet and greets, etc.) and I would even take loving potshots at Angie. Only people that ever tried “censoring” me, though, were other members who had some chip on their shoulder at the time. I’d been banned from that group probably 5 times, but it was never ordered from the top down. It was always middle-man rent-a-cops getting a bit overzealous when they got to play with nightsticks.

Hahaha, oh man… I remember all of that. The mods at that time seemed to think they were somehow a part of Ministry or some elite group just because they were moderating a fucking forum. Worked out real well. Good times.

That’s what I notice is that if what you write isn’t all “hail to his majesty” and going on about how awesome Al is, they don’t like it. Like if you complain he was too drunk at a show, comment hidden. It’s weird. a lot of stupid shit gets hidden and anything with even a little nudity gets reported to facebook. It’s like some morals police person is watching.

I never really care much for bands’ “official” fan boards for those very reasons. I’m very passionate about the stuff I like, but I also like to be free to say that Christmas albums are totally gay without getting banned. If I’m not happy with the various discussion groups on the Internet, I’ll just make my own or stick with shouting indiscriminately on my FB page.
