I don’t think someone should be labeled as racist or bigoted or whatever just because they are Republican. It’s quite possible that they agree with a conservative view on economics, or social welfare, or any other myriad of topics.

that need it the least. Right now the repubs are the worst and getting more worse. For those that say that the DEms and the Repubs are equally bad are fooling themselves. Repubs are clearly poisonous to America. while Deomcrats at least try to make this country a little balanced. I don’t want to live in a 3rd world country and that’s what repubs are pushing right now. Regarding Republican hipocrisy, though, I will share one thing that is a bit of a pet peeve of mine.

The throwing around of the word “socialist” like we’re trying to out commies in the 1950’s is really stupid. Anytime there’s anything with a bit of social welfare (I’m speaking of items of shared good for society, not just “welfare” in the sense of money and freebies for the poor) in it, a bunch of hopped up conservative jackasses start screaming “socialist!!!”.

Are you friggin’ kidding me? They’re ALL socialists. Who voted for the “bailout”? Who talked about forgiving bad debts and a bunch of other baloney? ALL OF THEM, that’s who!

They bailed out banks, they bailed out giant corporations, they bailed out retards that got in over their heads making stupid financial decisions.

They take our money and redistribute it to others that they think need it more than we do all the dang time. It doesn’t matter the party.

The jerks in Washington were telling us everything was sunshine and peppermints until one day they get on the TV and start telling us that if they don’t approve a $750 BILLION “economic stimulus” package and whatnot that we’re all doomed.

Well, they did it. And now what? We’re two years in and more jacked up now than before the great fix-all solution. I was actually on the fence about McCain toward the end, but he voted for the bailout too, and then when he started preaching the same bullcrap about letting everyone off the hook for mortgages they can’t afford that was pissing me off about Obama, it sealed it for me (I had other reasons to hate McCain as well, but that was the final straw).

It’s all socialism. But GW’s version (that most of the Democrats voted for, by the way) is taking everyone’s money so that we can save a bunch of billionaires who squandered our futures to begin with.

Oh, and another thing . . . . was it just some coincidence that after spending about $750 Billion on a war with no payoff that we found ourselves in a $750 Billion crisis?

Grmpy just a word of advice when it comes to politics: Lighten up a little. High blood pressure or heart problems come from anger and stress. Please don’t take this the wrong way, it’s not in any way a malicious comment. Nothing wrong with lighting up a bunch of politicians regardless of where they are from. I didn’t think anyone could take that seriously until I read the crap you posted. Bullet catcher? I like that. Good one. As for my skill, I did break my ankle jumping out of a helicopter during a training excercise. It wasn’t as exciting as it sounds but it is sort of funny. The Black Hawk was about a meter or so off the ground. I was the 1st guy out and my foot landed in a hole and got hung up a bit. The skid hit the back of my pack which was quite heavy about 75kg and knocked me over. My boot was still stuck in the hole, broke a couple bones in my foot and tore up all the tendons in my ankle. That put an end to my days in “special forces unit” unfortunately. Everyone in Canada knows what that is but we are not allowed to say the name because it’s secret. Anyway, I’m now a trainer in CSOR - Canadian Special Operations Regiment.

Maybe I’ll post some Canadian political scandals before I head back to the CFB on Thursday for your viewing enjoyment.
