earlier this week, I finished up Bolan: the rise and fall of a 20th century star. great book. awaiting “on some faraway beach” , brian eno’s biography.
currently reading lame deer: seeker of visions.
I’m backed up with alot of Native American readings, which is fine by me. just yesterday I got “To Become a Human Being: The Message of Tadodado Chief Leon Shenandoah” . Before I get to that, I plan to read “Mother Earth Spirituality” and “the Lakota Way”
[reply]Currently reading Mr. B Gone by clive barker, so far it’s pretty slow, which is unexpected, considering it’s written from a demon’s perspective!

Cool did not know he had a new one out, I’ve been a Clive Barker reader since the Books of Blood era. As of late he has seemed to have lost some of his bite, but I enjoy his fantasy stuff just as much as his horror. Still waiting on the novel he’s working on where Pinhead meets Harry (Lord of Illusions) D’Amour.
Currently reading The Dark Descent, an omnibus of horror short stories. This one covers a lot of ground from early writers such as Poe, Lovecraft and Le Fanu to genre greats like Harlan Ellison, Ray Bradbury, Stephen King, and Barker. (Who knew that Ambrose Bierce wrote a story somewhat anticipating the movie Predator over a century ago?)[/reply]
Wasn’t Harry introduced in Lord and then managed to slip into Everville? I know he was in it and a major actor in the plotline… Just wondering.
[reply]At the momment I’m reading the last Saul Williams book he released “Dead Emcee Scrolls”.
I don’t know if there is going to be a show near you, but he’s playing a show that goes on sale friday with Les claypool, secret chiefs 3 in NYC in march[/reply]
Thanks for the heads up but sadly I’m in Scotland.
I have been lucky enough to catch two of his live shows over the years though including his Niggy Tardust tour.

it’s fantasy and horror. not fantasy like D&D, or horror in the typical sense either. it’s about the nature of love, death and religion. it’s not absurd though… it’s hard to explain really! i suppose, now that i’m thinking about it, it shares a lot in common with the bible, lol.
I’m reading Magicians of the Golden Dawn. Amazing, well documented and sadly out of print bio of the famous Golden Dawn occult group. I’m just getting started but have been blown away so far with the depth of research, a very rare thing for a book like this.
I’m also listening to Ender’s Game as a book on tape. I like to listen to books on tape as I drift off to sleep. Haven’t read this book for years and years, it’s good fun and surprisingly brutal.
right now i’m reading the legend of zelda vol 1 manga, tour smart (which is surprisingly really good), and about to start the new wayne dyer book…
yesterday i was perusing a book i read ages ago called generation Hex… wonderful read on magic and how people got into the craft and such…one of those disinfo books.
Liek Special Ed. I´ve got a fascination for biographies and the fate of famous folks.
