I was reading some of her memoirs the other night and was struck by how she refused to blame anyone else for her unique ‘born into Hollywood royalty’ problems, and shouldered the majority of the blame herself.
Very refreshing to read, as anyone could claim, say, “Harrison Ford gave me dope when I was 19 and ruined my life” and get a pass for that if they wanted to.
I will also miss the sardonic humor which she occasionally used to deal with her problems. I always laugh when hearing how she demanded Lucas give her a copy of the hated “Star Wars Holiday Special” in exchange for her doing some DVD commentary or something…and that she made sure to screen the Special at parties when she “wanted guests to leave”

A “pass”? Fuck that! That’s my IN!!! I don’t even like Harrison Ford, but if I could tell all my friends that Han Solo/ Indiana Jones gave me drugs you can bet your ass that is the FIRST thing anyone who met me would hear about . . . . and they’d hear about it all the fucking time.
