I got to hang out with Mooney and one of her friends last night. They were in town for a thing and it just happened to coincide with a monthly concert series I am working on, so they came out for some drinks and I dropped 'em back at their hotels afterwards. It was a really lovely time. Shame the concert itself was kinda meh, the least cool of the 4 so far this year. My buddy was good but the lineup as a whole wasn’t near as compelling as the previous ones and attendance was way down. But whatevs, we had a good time.
Yup, we were able to hang out for a few minutes with Davelybob and his friend who performed at the event. A couple of the performers were quite entertaining: the guy with wild hair, hat, and glasses was pretty talented voice and creativity-wise. Definately a true musician. Thanks again for dropping us off at our hotels; some of the St. Louis cab drivers are not too great at their job. Thus, much appreciated.
I also was able to meet Mrs. Davelybob but only briefly when they adventured down to where the event I was supporting was taking place. Unfortunately, it was crunch time when they found me, and I couldn’t leave my assigned task at that time to go chat.
I’m in Bayonne, originally from (and spend most of my time in) Jersey City. It’s about 10 mins outside of NYC. Jersey is convenient- EVERYTHING is close by, but that’s about it. I’m looking forward to getting out of here myself, to the West Coast.
Bayonne? no shit, i grew up in Dumont. and in fact, back when i played some sports i played against Bayonne a few times.
and you are right, EVERYTHING is about a 30-45minute drive away in NJ, and that is really nice. but the moment i felt like i could, i hightailed it to Washington State, and im loving it here. the air is just better. haha.
I would have thought the millionaire hipster would at least have a clothes dryer. What’s with the doo-rags and jockstraps hanging on clothespins all around the place?
