Oh it’s already halfway gone, though parts of it will surely be there forever and are very deep. It now doesn’t look like a swastika though.

I don’t have any swastikas, but I’ve got a number of self-inflicted (or friend-inflicted) scars that carry to this day . . . there’s a massive cross-gash on my right thigh and my left shoulder has some gnarly giant slice marks. Nice reminders of teenage tomfoolery from 20 years ago.

My ex was crazy about Nazi folklore and the occult. Wanted me to get some crazy assed runes tattooed on my lower back, circling a death’s head skull. Almost went through with it. Got a Bastard Noise skull tatt instead.
Well the reason I am drawn to the swastika is because I’m into symbols. I think it’s really cool that a simple image can convey an idea or philosophy. And can inspire deep rooted feelings and reactions in people. Allegiances, hatred, etc.
Symbols are very unique because they are not quite pictures and not quite words. Unique concept in our human vocabulary.
And my last name is “Cymbol” but I use “Symbol” for stage name or what have you.
The swastika is of particular interest because it inspires fear and hatred in many people and is shocking. People are taken aback for a second when they see it. It is a particularly powerful symbol, where something like say the cross is so common as to lose its potency somewhat in daily life.

I am working on losing a bit more weight.
I have a tad of a gut in that picture but it’s actually liver inflammation because I had been drinking at the time it was taken.
It’s actually the opposite of doing drugs and drinking that I am after these days. I am trying to be really healthy and work out a lot. That’s the only way to sustain the kind of body/look I want.
And I know I need to step out from Manson. If there is a reason to regret the tattoo, that would be it. Not embarrassment.
I am thinking of this kind of Devandra Banhart version of goth lately. Like taking the look and making it more psychedelic…
And no I don’t want to be covered in tattoos.
PS my friend moved in with Ginger Fish (Manson drummer) in LA so fingers crossed things may start picking up for me in a bit. I might move out there.
My struggle now is whether to stick with BLACKBOMBS where we are stuck in the goth industrial box or step out and do something where I am the main guy again and find new people.
I think I have much better ideas than the singer of BLACKBOMBS but I have no illusions about being a great vocalist.
The hardest thing to me about music (aside from making good songs obviously) is finding the right band and keeping it together.
That is honestly half the stress and battle. You have to be very diplomatic and think of everybody like little pieces on a chessboard…

Some of my views on immigration etc may seem harsh or even nasty to the namby pamby do-gooder left but I think that’s more of a sign of the times we live in more than anything else.
The swastika represents many things. The stupid nazis stole it and exploited it and tainted it forever.
Plus, it’s not really a Nazi Swastika on Voidhead because it was drawn backwards.

The singer of BLACKBOMBS did the swastika. I think he did it backwards on purpose. Not sure as we were pretty shitfaced. Either way I like it as it is in the pic.
