Old songs in the 2017 setlist

Test - i’d like to hear ( wishful thinking )

Seeing “Supermanic Soul” live is trippy…I don’t like how he kept the vocals so far behind the beat on the verses that he was almost out of time, but hey they actually did it which is shocking…

“Bad Blood” was awesome. It’s funny how he pretended to sing the Ty Coon part but it was pre-recorded.

I’d like to see:

“Lava”
“Crumbs”
“Animosity”
“Broken”

oh and “Bloodlines” … actually liked that track a lot

(keeping it SOMEWHAT realistic…)

I never get sick of “Breathe”.

I see what yer saying. He does seem a bit slow with the vocals, but i think that has more to do with him not knowing the lyrics -or the song for that matter- but man the band was on point. They sounded like they coulda been pulled straight from the record. ive got nothing bad to say, and i hope they play that and a bunch of other old throwbacks the next time i see them

Yeah, the band is tight.
I was nervous about the last minute insertion of a nobody drummer, but figured he was probably their tech and already familiar with the songs . . . he sounded great. Congratulations to him for the sudden pull up to the big leagues. The true test for him will be the overseas tour.

Regarding the vocals for “Supermanic” . . . it’s hard to tell with these shitty live recordings if Al is lagging behind or it’s just a matter of the various elements being captured accordingly (I’ve noticed similar apparent lags on things that I’ve witnessed live to be absolutely in sync).

One thing that is apparent is the lack of vocal distortion which makes it sound a bit spur-of-the-moment . . . as does Al’s reading the lyrics from a book.

Al’s reading the lyrics from a book.

I wonder if he yanked the lyrics from this site. [:)]

Here’s another fan shot vid of “Bad Blood” from the Greece gig on June 1. Better audio quality. https://youtu.be/OF2E3rAZZTI

He didn’t know the lyrics to the song in 2003 either.

Must’ve been written HEAVY in dope mode.

They played Bad Blood yesterday at Download Festival and it was awesome. Took me by surprise as i hadn’t checked the recent setlists.
They were great on the whole actually one of the best bands of the weekend.

This can’t be correct. Golden Dawn?

That’s because Ministry is playing on the second stage. The crowd is small, but dedicated, and it soon begins to expand as they delve straight into ‘Punch In The Face’ which – like its namesake – takes aggro to the next level. ‘Golden Dawn’ is barked into a microphone by singer Al Jourgensen, who runs about the stage like a creepy little elf sporting serious amounts of metal through his face (he’s said to have had all 16 done in one sitting, fact fans…) It’s hard to imagine how any band even attempting to play on the nearby main stage can be heard over their noise.

By the time they play their classic 1992 track ‘New World Order’ the crowd has doubled in size. Jourgensen just has to do a circular motion with his hand and a sizeable pit magically starts. They’re an undeniable highlight of the weekend.

Thanks! I’ll see if I can confirm “Golden Dawn.”

Saying “Golden Dawn” into a microphone is not the same as playing the track.

I asked Sin in a FB group, he said they did not play “Golden Dawn.” Goddamn NME Bullshit.

Thanks for checking that out. I figured the guy that wrote the article didn’t know what he was talking about.
