[reply]Well he is a real human being unfortunately and he does not exist solely to entertain us.
Maybe that’s not his sole purpose in life, but it is his chosen career path.
He’s a singer, songwriter, musician, performer, whatever . . . they produce entertainment. They should entertain us. Give 100% or go sell shirts at Nordstroms instead.[/reply]
I think what voidhead was talking about the person behind the performer, singer, musician, etc. Yeah, that’s his vocation, but it isn’t his life, if that makes sense.
In all honesty, I’d rather he be clean and alive making crappy music rather than dead. Very few people are able to live with that and I don’t think there’s much doubt he would’ve been dead if he kept going. You never know, he might still have it in him. That collab with Frontline Assembly wasn’t too bad.
Amen.
I don’t need Al to be full of collapsed veins just for my entertainment. Indeed, I wish he’d go even further and kick the booze, Trent-style.
Maybe he too could score himself an Oscar.

AGREED.
Any way that you look at it… sober or not, it’s been like watching a distant relative without any of their faculties functioning lying in a bed while they are sustained by life support while their body slowly shuts down.
Dressed as an industrial pirate.
