That was pretty bad. I remember hearing “Loose Cannon” for the first time in '03, and being disappointed. It ended up being the ‘throwaway’ single on the album, and the rest of the album was much better. I hope this is the case with Feast of Fools.

I assume (hope) it is. I still haven’t heard it yet though.
it doesnt sound like their last album at all. i can see why someone might thing it does, but it has the pop sensibilities and polish of their older gothier stuff, just with Jaz’s drunken sailor voice.
its sad that Paul Raven had to die for this album to come out, but i am loving the new song. i hope they have some harsher stuff on the album though.

Nice to hear a positive opinion of the song. I still haven’t got around to listening to it…I prefer to wait until an album or 12" gets a release if I know I’m definately buying it…that way I get that special moment of hearing it fresh which gives it even more impact if it happens to kick major ass.
I don’t mind the vocals at all. Haven’t heard the new song yet. But, the first album I ever heard was the 03 s/t album, which I liked enough to check out the other albums.
haven’t listened, but Peligro’s bileful review means it’s probably brilliant.
I like Killing Joke. Their first two releases are essential - ESSENTIAL! - and I like pretty much everything up to and including Pandaemonium in '94 (with the exception of Outside The Gate and Extremities, Dirt…).
But I’m not going to accept any ol’ piece of shit they spit up just to be polite and fall in with the crowd.
And this new clip does in fact sound alarmingly like any ol’ piece of shit to me.
Just heard it. Not sure what I think of it. It was obviously shitty quality, so i’ll wait until a better quality version pops up to really give a say. But it was “alright”, I guess. Seemed like they were trying to be more heavy for their own good though… Still, I don’t mind his sing/growl vocals never have. Although, i’ll always prefer his singing over screaming. Which I know he’s perfectly capable of still doing.
You know I’m more inclined to lean towards Peligro on this one. Just cause when I got killing joke s/t for the seeing red song. I adored that CD for like a month and now I’m still so sick of it 3 months later I don’t care to hear any killing joke ever again. In fact, the thought of listening to anything KJ makes me kinda angry!

I know how you feel Grmpy. For years I couldn’t watch anything starring any former cast member of Saved By The Bell without wanting to strangle someone.
Speaking of former cast members, whatever happened to that Steve Urkel guy?

Well, you you’re doing better than me! Although, I gotta say watching Elizabeth Berkely in Showgirls was pretty cathartic, but she’s the only one that I’ve made peace with from that cast!

I think he’s enjoying the millions of dollars he should’ve sued Fox for because they made him have back problems with that stupid posture they made him keep on that show… man, that was an awkward wordy mouthful!

I would say most of KJ’s stuff (except ‘Brighter Than a Thousand Suns’) gets boring after a while. You have to leave it then return, dig it and then get bored once again.

I find that’s the case with all music regardless of how awesome it is.
