While on the topic of bands by famous people who didn’t start out as musicians - didn’t Juliette Lewis have a hip / “with it” band a little while ago?
Can’t say I ever heard any of it - I’m more wary of bands that might be a “just ok” listening experience than I am of bands that are fascinating disasters. Fabio’s foray into recorded music, for example, is entrancing in its cheesiness.
Let’s not forget Shaqs music career of where he became a rapper. I won’t even post a video, but let you glimpse at his horrible lyrics. http://www.rapartists.com/artists/shaquilleoneal/lyrics
Only thing it would be good for is it would be the most affordable autograph memorabilia.
Yeah, I was trying to remember what was up with that one. Did Willis have his own band or was he just jamming with Seagal at a few self-indulgent Planet Hollywood events or something?

He definitely had/has his own band although I can’t for the life of me remember what the name was…I know it was something cheesy though…probably safe to say that the name would be exactly what you would expect it to be…
At least Eddie Murphy did it with a little bit of style. This video cracks me up though. Generic in the studio style that seemed to be popular back then. As soon as Eddie is feeling comfortable, Rick James just steals his thunder!

No, the irony of this song being called “Respect Yourself” did not elude me.
Looks like Bruce Willis’ offering to the pool of actors’ attempts at musical seriousness was . . . . a boring 80’s adult contemporary cheeserock, a la Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Michael Bolton . . . .
My friend has a 12" for Heartbeat. It has such a cheesy way-too-80’s cover design on it.
I liked Eddie Murphy’s stuff a lot. I got nothin’ but love for “My Girl Wants To Party All The Time” and “Boogie In The Butt”. They’re great jams and he got a proper team on the writing and production.
