Playing this weekend at @cruelworldfest with @weareministry! Excited to play electric strings with my friend @tinaguo. Thank you Tina for introducing me to @wedgebranon and thank you Wedge and Ministry for including us in this show!
Wow! Tina Guo regularly performs with Hans Zimmerās orchestra. Canāt wait to hear/see what theyāve prepared.
Charlie Clouser is performing with Ministry at Cruel World too!

The show was incredible. Clips are up on YouTube. The Twitch stuff sounded awesome and true to the original versions. Iām Falling was a pleasant surprise and sounded very close to the original 12ā single version. Revenge and Halloween were the perfect tracks to close the set. The crowd was super into it for a late afternoon show. They might want to think about touring this.
If it will make AL money, he will most definitely tour it.
Rolling Stone Interview with Al about this show and the future: Ministry's Al Jourgensen Talks 'With Sympathy' Set at Cruel World Fest
I noticed that Alās vocals were not 100% āliveā for the Twitch tracks. It almost sounds like the band just jammed over the original album audio, vocals and all, I could be wrong. Al using vocal tracks in recent years isnāt really a big secret.

Work For Love
All Day
Over The Shoulder
Just Like You
We Believe
Iām Falling
Effigy (Iām Not An)
Revenge
(Every Day Is) Halloween
Ugh. So much cringe.
Yeah I think youāre right about the band just sticking the Twitch CD into the player and jamming along - which is crazy sad because itās my favorite Ministry album and the thought of them playing āWe Believeā in 2024 is mind blowing and cool, but the execution is not so much.
Also Al is looking like all that pot heās been smoking has been giving him the munchies doesnāt he?
It would be interesting to hear how they re-created some of the tracks. If itās true that Al burned the master tapes of WS and sold off his Fairlight from long ago, there may not have been much source materials, sound banks, samples, etc. to work from.
Iām pretty sure they have the multi tracks for Twitch. The arrangements at the show are very close to the originals, but they arenāt exact. Some of it is definitely back tracked, but a lot of it is definitely live. Just Like You stood out as having a few differences.
I liked the new versions of the With Sympathy songs, but the best redo was Halloween, that might be my favorite version to date.
I hope they do an early years tour, the cruel world set was fantastic!
Well this is a dream come true. It lacks energy but holy shit is this so cool to hear/see in 2024!
Lacks energy? Haha. That performance is embarrassing. I know a lot of you like this stuff, and Iām glad you got to finally see it, but those clips make me cringe. And I agree, it looks like they are just playing over the Twitch CD. I know when I saw them the last time, they were just playing over a Pailhead CD. You could still clearly hear Ianās vocals.
Wempathy and his Prongs interview get referenced in there.
I like when the interviewer tries to āgotchaā Al with an old quote about Chic and Al just leans into it.
The new material with Paul sounds promising.
I thought it was funny that Al basically said it was just Paul and his ex-wives who wanted to sue each other as thatās what it always felt like with Gerda and 13th Planet Lady. Hope Paul and he can still do something cool together, I definitely like the last Lead Into Good album and Ministry would do well with a little of that energy.
A photo and a namecheck in RS, both in the last couple of months. What am I doing wrong?
Does anyone happen to have an audio rip of the show?
