But I was watching the RNC last night and I have two questions:
Why was everyone chanting “USA USA”? I know they always chant slogans while people speak, but USA USA seems rather non-partisan.

Well, I am back to being undecided. Both sides have their good and bad as far as I can tell. I’m not really fond of having thousands of additional dollars taken out of my pay for Obama’s programs but I agree with a lot of the other stuff he is all about. I may sit this one out. Every presidential candidate as far back as I can remember has basically said the same thing, yet here we are. I don’t have a lot of faith in the Maverick and the Golden Child I guess.
Sorry to have to be the one to break this to you…But taxes are going to have to be raised! there is NO WAY out of this mess without raising taxes! Unemployment is at 6% and that’s just the # they’re are willing to admit to. if you haven’t found a job after 2 years they no longer count you as unemployed you are kicked off that census. So I would say the unemployment figure is probably around 8%. WHich means the only way to stimulate this economy without having to borrow more money from china and Britain is to raise taxes! with that tax mony social programs can be created to stiumlate the economy. That’s What Clinton did (Quickly in a nutshell!) Raised taxes means being able to create loan programs that lend $$ to start up comapnies.
THis whole trickle down effect that W buys into is weak and tired and doesn’t work (Just like his old man who thought of it!) Trickle down would work if Workers set their own wages…but they don’t so it’s a worthless theory. it’s just a way to get more money in the hands of their company owning friends!

The way I see it, this country is hanging on the vote of the young people (I’m talkin’ 18-25 here). If Generation WTF can get its ass in gear and head to the polls, this country has a shot at remaining somewhat together. However, kids these days are as apathetic as ever… and if they continue to simply not give a fuck, WE are fucked.
November’s gonna be a fuckin’ bloodbath.
