It’s like something that would be airbrushed on the side of a rape-van in the 70s.
Hahaha this would also fall into the “don’t give him any ideas” category…it’ll probably be plastered on the side of the bus for the upcoming tour.

It is honestly my most hated album cover EVER. I hate it even more than that generic swill they were pumping out for the Cleo junk.
As jaded and uninspired as the tracklisting and everything was, I was semi-interested in the live recordings just to have some more proper Scaccia-infused Ministry (though I never even bought that last one “Enjoy the Quiet” or whatever it was called).
But the artwork has seriously turned me off. It’s really bad.
Enjoy The Quiet is just an action shot of Al and Mikey live. Quite fitting and appropriate.
This? Is terrible.
But certainly not worse that FBTE. That is an atrocity.
^BOOM!
Thank you! Even better reference. That’s exactly the vibe I get too. And it will have some kind of wacky pun-filled, but not exactly funny, title for the story too. “The Shocking Case of The Electroman!” Or something. Way to go, Al! You’re almost scary enough nowadays to raise an eyebrow . . . On a 7 year old.
It’s a silly cover but par for the course these days…

Hey!! I already unleashed the ‘shocking’ pun a few posts above. That one took a lot of effort on my part.
Honestly, though, maybe this is the first step towards Al following the lead of groups like the Misfits, and turning Ministry into more of a “family”-oriented band?
I can just imagine it now - nice middle American families enjoying their hearty country breakfasts at a Shoney’s or Cracker Barrel restaurant, when in rolls the tour bus with Scaaaaary Al painted on the side. The kids start jumping up and down shouting “Mom! Dad! Look - MINISTRY’s here!” and all go rushing outside to high-five and snaps pics with the creepy-but-lovable hero of the 99 Percenters Super Saturday Cartoon Hour.
In effect, he could be the successor to Chicago-area kids’ TV legend Rich Koz a.k.a. Svengoolie:

It would be a good advertisement photo for one of those “scary” shows on Nickelodeon like Goose Bumps or whatever.
That would be Are You Afraid Of The Dark. Goosebumps was on Fox. I know this is an unnecessary correction, but Are You Afraid Of The Dark was much superior as a TV show.

Unneccessary as it might be, this is by far my favorite correction post I’ve ever seen.

My apologies. The posts were coming through so lightning fast that I completely missed that one.

“'s all good,” as the kids say.
I’m just happy that when it comes time to stand up for The Cause - deriding bad art direction - the entire board stands as one.

YUS!
A friend and I still laugh about the episode with the ghost of the kid who froze to death in the forest and everytime this other kid bumps into him the ghost says “I’m cold” and the kid who’s alive lets out a funny scream. This episode also has Melissa Joan Hart of Clarissa Explains It All fame.
The back cover with the full track listing and song lengths is available too: http://www.amazon.ca/Last-Tangle-In-Paris-DVD/dp/B00KCDTX0I/ref=mb_oe_a
Ah, this was truly when M.M. and his merry pranksters were at their artistic and lyrical peak, as you can see from the below lyrics notebook excerpt from ‘Gidget Gein’:

I actually, and I’m not even joking, think this pre-stardom era of Marilyn Manson is way more interesting than the stuff that came out later.
Anyway, I just posted that because the new Ministry cover reminded me so much of it.
Imagine the covers that he rejected.
Your kidding right? this is the cover art?
And this just in, from a trusted source - Cleopatra Records have confirmed that [url https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xT6ZUcEsL7Y]MOLOCH of CHiPS fame will be opening for Ministry on the upcoming From Beer to Eternity tour! The scariness will truly be off the fuckin charts, maaaaan!
That guy reminds me of that clown Mortiis.
