What impresses me most about the video is that it looks good AND has a coherent story that absolutely talks to the themes of the song. That’s really hard to do. That it also has well staged and arresting imagery just adds spice to an already great dish.

Where did you get the cool looking crab a caterpillars? Exotic pet store?
We actually found somenoe who is a collector of strange animals and he literally came to the shoot with a suitcase of giant insects and such in seperate little jars. I was only interested in the more colorful ones but there was a lot more he had. We took so long filming that he passed out with his suitcase in a cloud of haze from the fog machine and we found him a few hours later and we were like “ok now it’s tiome to shoot your creatures”…the last supper part was a really surreal shoot and took forever.

I haven’t paid much attention to it in the last 10 yrs so some of the newer stuff mentioned is foreign to me. Kind of surprised there was no mention of Nitzer Ebb or Front 242 in the interview.[/reply]
TBH I feel like my quotes were taken a bit out of context. I was talking specifically about Industrial Rock/Metal and I said a lot of other things about the appropriation of the original concept behind Industrial music into the mainstream via horror/action film and TV scores and also the presence of sound design elements in modern top 40, that he didn’t include because I don’t think he could wrap his around what I was really saying.
