[reply]Berkowitz will not be at this show but may appear in future shows. He is dealing with cancer treatment at the moment.
How’s that coming along?[/reply]
I’m not sure…it seems to be very up and down…if anyone has well wishes or wants to correspond with him, he’s very open and approachable just Facebook him.
The 3 song “Control” single is also online! It features “Control”, “Killing an Arab” (cover of The Cure) and “Shooting Stars”. Stream, download or order a limited edition physical copy here:
Nice location. Did you get permits, or was it a guerrilla thing?
Guerilla. It’s an abandoned asylum complex in upstate NY called Letchworth Village. It’s literally an abandoned village of buildings with everything in place, from the 70s. Isolation chambers, a morgue, dissecting tables, dental chairs, the whole nine yards. The church scene was there as well, in a small abandoned synagogue.
Almost got arrested the first night so the second day we opted not to do any night shooting. Brave crew as no one bailed out except the drummer, who was subsequently banished from the video for being a pussy.
[reply]What parent let their children be in this vid?
The parent of the children, she was on hand. She was also the makeup artist .The twins had a blast![/reply]
During the “ceremony” (I guess you’d call it) the one twin on the left of the screen was looking over at somebody off camera the whole time, like she was in trouble or waiting for a cue or something.

It was a difficult scene to film. We had only one shot at it because of the confetti cannons and the fact that we were in an asbestos-filled rotting abandoned Synagogue in winter, I was almost naked and freezing, and the children were unmasked inhaling that crap (mom would only let them do that scene for an hour and then they were out). One take wonder! I think the confused look adds to the bizarro feel of the whole thing.

Damn you guys should have had them in masks, that would’ve added to the scene!!!
I agree with MQ, the location is cool. I bet that place was/is spooky.
the beat kinda reminds me of “like a virgin.”
You definitely ripped a scene from sweet dreams video at around the 2 minute mark.(1:54 - looks like when manson was in the wedding dress from the SD vid )

I too was thinking about this, but then I went back and watched some old episodes of ‘Wonder Showzen’ recently.
I recall one scene where a kid says something like “I wish God was real, so I could punch him in the face,” and the infamous “Beat Kids” sequences (punning on child abuse and kids being ‘beat reporters’) in which kids would go around NYC interviewing bystanders while dressed up like Hitler or “Lil’ Dead Pope.”
Gonna preview this later. I’m hoping you channeled the Baboon on “Killing An Arab.”
Rad! It’s very minimalist electro. I think we really channelled Daft Punk ‘Random Access Memories’, Kanye West ‘Yeezus’, and Ministry’s ‘The Land of Rape and Honey’ more than anything for this album.
Hey, Voidy: I didn’t realize the video was up until this morning, but I just watched it. It’s really great, Dude! I love how you make the best out of limited resources and actually turn it into something that is still quality and meaninful instead of just some half-assed monument to poverty.
I think a lot of much larger and more successful acts could really learn a thing or two from you when it comes to actualizing a vision with what’s available.
This and the “Purple Cloud People” vid are really impressive. And mad props for throwing us a bone with some Integrity on it too.
I liked the music on this one too. It has a real 80’s feel going in, but with a sinister edge to it. Anyway, I don’t like all your stuff, but this one definitely works.
