If you don't already have Flowering Blight...

Perhaps he just did it for fun?

Yeah or that!

Sorry but it doesn’t sound like he’s having fun on that thing.

he didn’t sound like it was a great time on the Lead Into Gold stuff either, but it’s not ‘feel, good, party’ music. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

this is still getting a good amount of play by me, I just moved it from the house to the car a week ago. I don’t drive all that much right now, so it’s a lower rotation, but getting played all the same.

I’d buy more if he puts it out.

the album is OK, and i actually prefer The Spoils version of Sugarwater

Agreed. USSA version has better drums but the singer is a dud.

I prefer FB version of The Waste Land though.

You guys really think so?
I tried to listen to The Spoils right after listening To A Perfect Pair, and frankly I think Flowering Blight makes USSA sound like a pile of puke.

USSA is puke and Flowering Blight is up-chuck.

Double agreed, but I do like Call’s voice.

Played “The Perfect Pair,” “DSOTS,” and “The Spoils” all day yesterday in honor of the man of… honor.

I haven’t heard this cd so i cannot make a comment on the qualoity of it, however it will say that there is ALOT of music out there now. And not just alot of bad music, or mediocre music, but alot of really good stuff. Not all of it’s new and current, but there are so many albums out that will just blow the shoe’s right off your feet in a midair sneeze calvin and hobbes style.
with that said there are just some of us who would rather focus on the purely amazing music that is a cd of nothing but track after track of favs then to deal with skipping around to hear the few (amount depending on cd) songs you do like.

as far as not using the name ministry to promote the cd, maybe it had something to do with how he left the band, who know he may be contractually not allowed to use the name to promote himself or his music, or he just would rather let it stand on it’s own. a million speculations can be made. maybe somebody should see if they can get an interview with him or something

I haven’t listened to it much, maybe twice since it first came out. The first track stood out but the rest was just kinda “meh” to me. I’ll have to give it another listen.

I agree with afra, I don’t think this was meant to be anything more than “hey, here are some old tracks I have lying around, let’s clean them up and release them.” I do the same thing every now and again for friends with old tracks I have lying around.
