HOW AL CAN COME TO TERMS WITH "THE ABORTION"

Yeah, I like Psalm 69 a lot, but I think it’s a lot more simplistic than three albums preceeding it.

in what way?

i mean, you can’t get as simple as “breathe”
I mean it’s simple in that it’s more straightforward metal, with simpler beats besides. The guitars on Breathe may be simple, but the drums are awesome. I like Psalm 69 a lot, but it’s definitely a let down in the drum department. For me, The Land of Rape and Honey is the drum album, and the drumming on Psalm 69 isn’t particularly memorable.

Filth Pig was actually the first Ministry album I heard. I think it’s good even if it is pretty different.

If Al truly hasn’t listened to the album in over 20 years, maybe he’s remembering it as being worse than it really is. Or maybe he’s just full of shit and trying to justifty to the metal crowd how such a hardcore band could have started out making cheesey synth-pop.

Well, we know for sure that Al has listened to at least one part of one song on “With Sympathy” recently due to his appearance on Opie and Anthony, where they brazenly played it despite his protests! And judging by Uncle Al’s reaction (you could almost see him SQUIRMING in his chair), he can’t stand to hear even two seconds of it. At least, that’s how he wants it to seem. Methinks he doth protest too much…

I wonder if this is the first time since “back in the day” that someone has succeeded in forcing Al to listen to his old work?

yeah. good fairlight programming.

i disliked it and hated DSOTS and didn’t care for animositisomina… now i love all 3 of 'em…

“Jesus Built My Hotrod” (but it really should have been made a RevCo song), and “Fucked” (which was a b-side anyway).
I think it’s funny that “Jesus Built…” is their biggest single - that song and the album it came from are what really “broke” Ministry - and yet it doesn’t really fit with the other material of that album at all (this is an opinion). It really would’ve been a good Revco song, honestly. I, for one, would’ve missed out on Ministry all together if it weren’t for that single and Beavis and Butthead and the tour with Helmet…I’m a youngin’, give me a break. Still, I prefer material like “Fucked” infinitely more than the cock rock.
So, I made a post; do I get to say “Fairlight” now?
