“So What” (ICYDFLSU)
OK then…if that’s the way you wanna play it…
CANNIBAL SONG
“Golden Dawn”
For me it’s Filth Pig by a country mile…I LOVE how warm and giant sounding the rhythm section is…then you get the absolute avalanche of guitars…and on top of that the ultra slow groove to the whole thing…it’s how heavy music should sound. I’d LOVE to hear Swans cover it!!! Ministry never really pulled it off live imo and the only band that could really drill that bad-boy into the ground live would be Swans…even if the bassline is a Melvins rip off.
Think i’ll start a pro-Ministry thread for a change…
…My favorite m song is Supermanic Soul, just the sound of it defines the Ministry genre, more or less industrial.
That tune is friggin HUGE…and the break down is pure gangster funk too. Unique stuff nae doot and hilarious. Straight ahead bad-ass-ness.
Just One Fix …

Yeah “Supermanic Soul” is dope as fuck! I remember when I first heard it as a teen I couldn’t wrap my head around it. It was just too fucked up and heavy. It has a really dark “6am on crack” kind of vibe that, looking back now, was too corrupt for my teenage mind to handle.
Now it’s probably my favorite of the singles. But unlike other people here I wouldn’t list multiple songs as my favorite because that is retarded and defeats the purpose of the thread.
Probably “kaif”. It’s so thick and weird and I have great memories of being shitfaced with Revok after a night of clubbing, eating potato salad in a grocery store parking listening to kaif cranked up. Good times.
was watching the video for " just one fix " bar far my favorite…plus i like the live version from Graspop festival 2008 video thats out there as well of the jam…[cool]
LORAH as an album gets the most plays, but off the top of my head, lately I would have to say my fave song of theirs is Dead Guy. Ask me in a week I am sure it will be something else.
Git up, Get Out 'N Vo— oh wait, sorry

Because it is the most crushing song ever fucking made

Proper.
Filth Pig and Dark Side are the greatest albums to listen to drunk. And Sober. But drunk it takes it to a different realm. It just has to be done. I don’t know how many 4am bus rides I’ve taken gee-eyed with either of these two albums blaring/grinding in my ears.
I once put Reload on on a jukebox in a bar. A snooty skank at the bar told me to change it. I advised against such a move
FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK! FLASHBACK!

honorable mention: Where You At Now?/Crash & Burn/Twitch II
I have alot of good memories listening to Filth Pig the album too. Back in 2002 I used to work at an art store and I loved listening to that when I got home. Funny I had a co-worker there who loved Dark Side of the Spoon too,but I loved Filth Pig. Nowadays I’m more into the earlier stuff.I do have Mind is terrible… on cassette though. Haven’t listened to that in awhile. Have some crazy memories of that one.
With Sympathy just rules. I know some people don’t like it but I love that one.
